All of us had a wonderful time at the corgi walk. Thanks, Lynde! We will definitely be back next year. I thought there was a great turn out and the weather couldn't have been any better. Noodles enjoyed meeting tons of new friends and drinking all the water in the dishes (just not playing in the water).

I hope you will make it to the Corgi Walk in the Pearl on Saturday, August 21, 2010. We are expecting a big turnout of over 65 Corgis and their proud owners.

The best bet is to wait until you are here and then check about meet up groups. The one I do has about 50 Corgis ad meets once a month in NW Portland. But wait until you have moved here as things change.

I wish Bean and I were already in Oregon so we could do the Corgi Walk :o( Its REALLY REALLY HOT here in Houston Texas and we're ready to be in Oregon already! heat index is 101*+ daily! Actually right now at 3am its still 85* still WHEW HOT! I was up packing if you're wondering why I'm up so late lol. My husband says we MAY move to the Portland area now. We just haven't decided yet. I know I originally said Albany but what do I know since I'm not there yet lol. We're so sad we're missing all the fun! I'm sure you guys will have more events in spring of next year when we are there. Are you guys thinking of having regular meet-ups or do you already have them? If so where are they or where will they be? I'm goin to take Beanie to some play groups here before we move because we haven't been around other dogs (other than her Puggy sister Phoebe who doesn't like Bean at ALL and the neighbor dogs that Bean loves) since I stopped working. I'm a vet tech but, I had surgery on my back about a year ago and just still can't work unfortunately. I miss it SO MUCH and Bean misses being able to play with some of the regular day boarders. Hopefully she remembers how to play nice! I'm sure she does but, its been a while and yanno know how strong-willed Corgis can be lol.

Sorry this was so long! I've practically typed a novel lol. Oh, if I forgot (which I didn't mean to), thank you so much for the "welcomes!" :oD You wouldn't believe how much stuff we are having to do to move. Its NUTS! I'm so ready to just be there and be out of this crazy heat and into my new home! Bean says she wants to make "Corgi Angels" in snow, see the Pacific and put her paws in the sand. She doesn't get to see snow here really. We get flurries but its way too hot to really stick. We had a lil snow last year but it melted within a few hours. We want to see REAL snow lol. We're just so excited and can't wait to actually be there!

Sure. It is $25 to register the Corgi and then $15 to register the 2nd dog.

I'm looking forward to meeting you!

Hi MyCorgi.com Corgis moms and dads:

How about meeting directly across the street from Urban Fauna in the park area. A lot of Corgis and their moms and dad will congregate there but if you introduce yourself to me I will point where some of you are beginning to form a group. I will also announce that we have a contingent from MyCorgi.com when the walk begins and encourage all of you to meet after the walk if you have not already met before.

Re warm weather: my hope is that at 10 am it will not be too hot. We have a hydration station midway for the doggies and then the water and dishes are brought over to where the walk ends (where it began) for more water re-hydration for the doggies.
