what made you fall in love with this wonderful breed?
so what has made everyone here fall for this amazing breed? is it that natural smile? this cute little ears? or those adorable short legs?
for me it was love at first sight. first seen them in books but then i seen a beautiful corgi at a park and spent hours playing with it and fell deeply in love lol i wanted one ever since. that wonderful personality just cant be beat along with that natural smile, that corgi smile is what really took my heart.

Me too!!! Cant beat the awesomeness that is the data dog Ein!! Now I have my own data dog, and named him Ein because I am such a dork..
My mom fell in love with them and then got LIly, which I am extremely happy, cuz I don't think I could deal with another English Mastiff.

We stumbled on to them with out much planning but soon became total converts due to their sense of humor and personality. It doesn't hurt that they make complete strangers stop and smile when they see them!

My story is boring. We actually went through a "Which breed is right for you?" book, and the Corgi turned out to be our best bet. Either type, but I prefer Pems because they are generally lighter and not as long-backed, and I thought I might like to try agility. A Cardi just seemed too heavy for that, so we went with Pems. Plus, Pems are easier to find.

By the way, now we have them I must say the book was absolutely right. I love their intelligence, their "Let's go!" attitude, that sense of humor and their generally cheery outlook.
A Corgi wakes up every morning and says "Wonderful things are going to happen today!" They really make me smile.

I was going to get a weiner dog! Then when I was at a horse show there was a big red and white Corgi sitting by a horse trailer,he danced about and smiled so I sat down he crawled in my lap and looked at me with those liquid brown eyes put his ears down and licked my neck face and just sat there winning my heart! His name was Winston and I will never forget him or that day! So the rest is history! Three corgi's later they win my heart every day with the joy , spirit and magic they posess!

I live in Taipei, a big city and I also wanted a spitz dog. I figure a Huskie or Samoyed are just a little to big for the apartment. And I do not want a Pomeranian. So Corgis are he best choice and have been happy with my choice everyday!

My husband saw a corgi for the first time on Dharma and Greg and that was when he decided he wanted one. I had never heard of a corgi before, but when we decided to get a dog and he told me to look up a corgi, that is when I fell in love with them. We went to take a look at some puppies and how can one see a corgi puppy and not fall in love with them? Even though he sheds like it is going out of style, I wouldn't trade any minute of our lives together. I love his ears, his bunny butt, his short legs and his personality!

I made a friend at my son's school, and when I went out to her "mini ranch" for the first time, I met her five corgis. They went everywhere with us as she was showing us around, and I fell in love with their joyous personalities, their interest in and interaction with a human they'd never met before, their ability to be part of the family rather than the family dog. I bought my first corgi, Merrylegs, not very long after that, and have just now acquired my fourth, all Pems. I have never wanted any other breed since meeting my first corgi.
