Rocko is still very young but one of his ears is standing and the other is floppy, when should I start taping it if it doesn't start to stand on it's own? The ear that is standing went up within a day of owning him and now we're just waiting for the other to go up.

He is only what? 7-8 weeks? give it time they should be up by about 12 weeks:) Quin had one ear down for a while and then one day boop, it was up.

Yes, at 8 weeks his ears will go up and down plus may flop more when he is tired. make sure his puppy food has calcium and some people massage the ears lightly but more than likely they will stand up on their own:) I would not worry till he is older.

I'd start taping if it's not up by 11 or 12 weeks, but there's not really a hard-and-fast rule.  Different breeders will give different advice on when to start.

I've heard around 12 weeks as well, but you can do it earlier if you want. I taped Luke's ears around 9 weeks.

You know...I was really concerned about my little Rosco and his ear.  When I brought him home at 9 weeks both his ears stood right up.  But about a week or so later one started to flop over (I posted a couple pics on my profile).  Well...he's almost 13 weeks now and his ear is definitely getting better and stands up more than half the time.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will get stronger over the next few weeks.  It wasn't until this website that I realized how common the floppy ear thing was :)
It's true, all the photos and all the corgis I have seen they all have straight ears, so it's nice to know that not all of them end up with their ears up. I hope his does come up but even if it doesn't I won't love him any less :)
