My 8 months old corgi Momo has always been very active and always liked to bite on things he's not supposed to bite on. I trained him by telling him "no" and giving him timeouts in a cage and his behavior improved. But for the past month, he has started biting on things again, e.g. wee wee pads, walls, or anything that's left on the floor or reachable for him. I tried to control his biting the same way. He would behave for 1 minute, then go back to biting again when I turn around.
The conclusion is, I have the feeling that Momo knows what he's not supposed to do. When I hear him biting (I put him in the kitchen while I'm hanging around in the living room), I walk towards the kitchen and as soon as he hears me approaching, he would stop biting and jump away from the crime scene. But when he's not under my sight, like when I'm in another room or when I'm out, he goes back to biting. Seems that instead of eliminating his biting behavior, he's learned to "do it when mommy is not around".
I feel completely outsmarted by Momo. HELP!
Attaching a picture of him!

I agree with Bev, I have a one year old that really just stopped chewing. I find kongs and other GOOD rubber toys are the best and then insert treats or peanut butter in them. I would kennel mine if I was too busy to watch and give them these:)
He is sure a cutie:)
use bitter apple spray.
trade chew toys for verboten items.
