I'm an art director living in Brooklyn with my Corgi, Dash!
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Dash is a tri-color Pembroke Welsh Corgi with limitless amounts of energy. Surprisingly, he's very trim for a corgi and has a short sleek coat to match... sometimes I wonder if he's got a little something else in him. He lives to fetch... especially his red squeaky ball! Sprinting back and forth in our hallway is also a favorite activity.
Dash was born 2007.08.20 and came to us from Blazing Stars Stables in Willard, Missouri. He definitely has several brothers and sisters and it'd be cool if we could find out where they are and how they're doing.
Thanks for the add. Only twice a year? My Uni has too much energy she can't wait to play with some other Corgis...There isn't any corgis around my neighborhood... where in Brooklyn are you from? Dash is soooooooo cute =)
yeh i know.....my daughter was on with me & we BOTH couldn't believe it..usually there is a little difference with nose spot or white on back of neck, but Dash & her are soooo similar! i wonder ....would have to be from seperate litters i guess....yours is 2 ys old right?
i just think it's awesome how they are like twins...down to the birthmark on nose.
Dood I happen to google Brad Biggers cuz i noticed his website is not there anymore and that led to your site. I got Kona from Brad too!! Crazy.. Kona was born in Nov. 21st, 07. Cool stuff..
You know I always wondered same thing about Kona too.. She too is very trim and has long legs for corgis.. I wondered if shes got something else in her too.. But at any rate.. I think thats what makes her and Dash special, on top of their great looks!
Yes, that's him! Didn't even realize Eva's Play Pups had a YouTube page! Thanks for letting us know. :) Where in Brooklyn are you located? Do you ever go to Prospect Park in the morning and/or weekends? There is also a really great (2 acre) dog run called Hillside Park in DUMBO that we take Taco to. Like Dash, he has limitless energy, but after an hour at that dog run, he is always dead tired!
In regards to your comment "We're in Brooklyn, but want to find somewhere to take Dash where he can run out in the wide wide open, swim, go hiking, etc. Anyone have any suggestions that might be accessible without a car? (I know that's a stretch) If it's somewhere within range of the city we could also get a ZipCar for a day trip."
We also live in Brooklyn and are fortunate to live a few blocks from Fort Greene Park that has off leash hours. I am not sure where in Brooklyn you live, but Prospect Park (FIDO) has a doggie-lake that just opened last weekend and will be open 'till fall. It's also a big park so you can really explore during off leash hours (9pm-9am). If you are looking to get out of the city, I would recommend FDR park in Westchester (Taconic Parkway/Yorktown) or for more secluded space go further North on the Taconic to Fawnstock Park. Hope that helps
You asked about KC's breeder. All I know is that we got him from Brad Biggers in October 2007, and his Mom was Heidi, one of Brad's dogs. I had been looking at Brad's website, Blazing Stars Stables, off and on, but notice that he's turned it off. I wonder if they've moved? KC is just the sweetest, cutest little corgi. We're very lucky!
I'll post some pictures... the water is very clear... technically dogs are not allowed to swim but it is so quite that there is rarely a ranger that comes back that says anything... once they did but i drove there several times just to have him swim and bbq.
Prospect Park I believe has a pond where they can go swimming.... i believe before 9am or something like that it is off leash. I took Milo there one day in the summer to swim in the area there. Another place was like just south of woodbury north of the gwb on the palisades.
