I have been wanting to add another corgi to my family and I found this little guy near me. But I'm having a terrible time figuring out if he's full blood or not. I don't want to get mistaken for a fool. I believe he is full but the tail and floppy ears throw me off so I'm having a hard time deciding. And I think he looks a little long legged as well.. Help!!!

I wouldn't buy a puppy without papers. Most likely their male and/or female was sold on a limited registration and was not meant to be bred by the original breeder. Shady.

In such cases is there a way to have people like this investigated by the animal control officer to be sure they are not pet hoarders or running puppy mills? I am worried about this little guy.

I know. I may just end up getting him to give him a great home.but as far as that goes im not sure if animal control can do anything.

Animal control can't do anything IMO. You would be helping out a Corgi and have one with a tail(I love tails) There is also a group on MyCorgi for Corgis with tails.. He is beautiful and my guess is he will be a very handsome adult. I swear that my rescues "know" I have chosen them and are the best dogs! I hope you do get him!!!!!!

Yeah I believe he's full corgi. I'm sure his ears will stand soon!! I have been wanting a corgi with a tail anyways and I can't seem to find a cardigan breeder in my area to respond to me sadly. :/

He is 100% adorable and I agree, rescues really do show so much appreciation and respect for their humans when they get to live with the care they deserve. He also looks to be in pretty good condition at least, despite all the warning signs.

Well unfourtunetlyunforutunetly the lady sold him to another person.. I just hope he went to a great home.

Looks much like Ruby did at 8 weeks, only with a tail. It's either undocked or maybe the pup is actually a Cardigan? Ruby's ears came up within a couple of weeks. LOL! Sometimes when she was running -- she would sort of bounce along -- the newly "up" ears would flop at the tips with every bounce. So cute!

No papers...she sells him out from under you? She claims she doesn't have images of the sire or dam?? Hm. Kind of a strange story. I wonder if he was stolen.

If she wanted to give him away, fine. (Sort of.) But the situation is so fishy, I sure wouldn't pay cash dollars for that dog.

I'm no where near experienced like many people on here, but we just got our pup who is the same age and he looks just like this guy but he's red not sable, so the fur throws me off. I have a few of him on my page but if you want more PM me. Booker came with his AKC and vet papers though..that concerns me they won't show you that, you especially need proof of the vaccines because you don't want the poor guy getting parvo. Maybe ask for a picture too of him running around, he looks like our Booker but his legs do seem a bit longer.. I can't tell. Our of curiosity how much are they charging? It could help answer if they're legit or not.

Uh...

There could be another explanation for the tail. He could be a Cardigan Corgi.

He was Pembroke according to the breeders. I asked them three times to make sure he wasn't a cardigan.
