Sofia turned 10 weeks old yesterday! She's growing so much!! I am not sure when to change her diet though. She's been on 1/2 cup twice a day. When should I change the amount of food she's eating???

I was just having the same issue with my Foxy and she's 5 months. I just took her to the vet to get weighed and see what they suggested. She was on 1/3 - 3 times a day so one cup total until just now. He wants her down to 2 times a day 3/4 cup each time so 1 1/2 cups until she goes back next month and then they'll reevaluate how she's doing. She currently only weighs 13.6 lbs. so she's on the smaller side, which I'm actually kind of happy about. I'm trying to be very careful because I know corgi's are prone to being overweight. Good luck
How much does she weigh? It is not age, but weight, that determines how much you feed them.
babyproof your home.
I'd like to know too. Right now if I go by the bag Nellie gets 2 cups of food a day, which seems like a lot. When she first came home at 10 weeks she was on 3/4c a meal (1 1/2c a day) but she wouldn't eat most of it, maybe eating 1/2c a day total plus maybe 1/4c treats for potty, training etc. She weighed 7 pounds then. Today she ate her entire bowl for breakfast AND wanted more kibble for training just an hour later. She's looking a lot more portly when she sits down but still looks kind of slim from above, so I'm not sure what's going on exactly.
Oh! And it also depends on the brand/food, I think all brands usually have the same feeding guideline but I would recommend more for brands that are less nutrient dense (non-premium, grain based) and less for better foods (premium, grain free). My breeder recommended 1/2c per meal for chubbier puppies and 3/4c for skinnier.
The bag guidelines are usually way over estimated for adults, but I think puppies should have around 1.5 cups a day at least. At one point we were feeding Luke 2.5 cups just to keep him from looking so darn scrawny. In my experience once they get to a year/year and a half old you'll probably need to cut down the amount to about 1 cup a day.
I've been wondering the same, our puppy got 1/2 cup twice a day at first but around 11-12 weeks we started giving him more. Now Oscar gets 3/4 cup twice a day, with a teaspoon of coconut oil added at dinner time. He's eating Nutrisca, which is a high-quality no-grain kibble. He usually gets a few treats over the day as well, either during training or as a treat to keep him occupied while I'm at work. At the vet two weeks ago he weighed in at just over 16 lbs and now he's up to 18 lbs so at a pound a week I think he's doing well. He's growing like a weed but definitely not getting fat.
Thank you all so much for replying!! All of these answers are really helpful! She has an appointment with her vet tomorrow so we'll see what she says. And I'm thinking about calling my breeder to verify whatever the vet says because he's the one that suggested feeding her 1/2 cup twice a day until she was about 12 weeks old. BUT THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!!!
