Our family dog, Bear (the black and white Borgi in my photo album), was sent to the vet today because he was laying in the backyard and couldn't get up. He was in pain and was shaking. Living away from home made me really sad that I couldn't be there with my other man.

He was a good boy at the vet and they were able to do some Xrays and found out be basically has water on the knee and because he's so overweight, he'll need some time to heal.

He needs to lose 15 (yes, FIFTEEN) pounds and take it easy for a while. He's on anti-inflammatory drugs to get rid of the fluid build up.

Let's all hope for a speedy recovery so he can be back to his old self again!

Oh, so sorry! Corgi kisses to all of you.
Aaarrrroooo's and prayers coming your way!
Get well soon and easy on the kibble.

Yes, my parent's know they are at fault for over-feeding him :-P. When I'm not visiting he's my dad's boy and daddy loves to give him people food...

He's a very active dog, just eats too much. :) I can't wait to see him again on my next trip home.

Thanks for the support!
Feel better soon Bear!!!!! We're sending thoughts and prayers your way for a speedy recovery and weight loss:)
It's so hard to ration food to our furry friends with their big, sad, eyes, and  starving faces, but it's for the best that we do.  Hang in there, Bear!  You won't starve and when you can run and play more you can eat a little more.
Good luck to Bear and your folks. I highly recommend the green bean diet. A quality weight loss dog food in small amounts and lots of green beans!
Get well soon.  And know that a lot of humans are joining you on diets this time of the year!
*Hugs* to you Bear for a speedy recovery and a successful weight loss!  You can do it!
Get well soon Mr Bear!
