Here's how we will be spending Labor Day weekend...just wish we new "when" Livvy will decide to have pups as it should be between today and Sun. Hope to get some grilling done too...makes me hungry thinking about the ribs!

Fortunately no surgery just a soft cast for three weeks. After that if it is not healed he may need surgery but so far they don't think so. It is just uncomfortable and hot for now. Ribs sound great too. Yum!

Oh man, that is too bad!!! Did he have to have surgery on it? I like Asparagus on the grill and have not had it all Summer so I may just cook that up along with some ribs or something.

Awww, my husband broke his knee so the whole trip is canceled! We are so disappointed! This is a trip we plan for all year with some good friends and now we can not go. This will be our first Labor Day in town in over ten years. Bummer. My favorite thing for cook outs is asparagus sprayed with a little olive oil and then grilled and lightly salted. It is wonderful! It has been so hot here this summer too. I can not wait until fall. I am a true northerner!

I'm jealous Bev, that sounds like fun...my 2 girls start school Sept 7th so have to start getting them into school mode. We are trying to get another camping trip in this weekend but super hot and muggy here still. Broke records here in MN with how humid it has been.Looking forward to Fall........ We always have a cookout though and I don't know what I'll make for sure... suggestions?????

Labor Day plans? We go to Harrisville, Mi on Lake Huron camping in a beautiful state park . There is a large Arts N Crafts show and we have friends who sing in The Sweet Adeline's (harmony singing) and they have a big conference there every year. There are lots of concerts and it is fun to walk around the campground at night with so many people sitting around singing.
