I've never seen a cardinal "in the flesh"...i bet they are beautiful, espeically with snow as a backdrop. Sidney tries to chase the birds that hang out on the back porch, and at the beach he tries to catch the gulls. I bet if one even squared off to face him, he'd get soooo scared. Those things are menacing up close o_O

How many tree do you put up at Christmas? By the way, my dogs chase Cardinals and squirrels. Sometimes I think I should build a race track.

Kids are back to school today....quiet here except for Edward and Gem's daily in and out the door antics to get the bluejays at the feeder(they hate or love the bluejays, not quite sure yet) Now the real Holiday clean up begins...before mid January birthday celebrations sneak up on me and we start throwing some more parties!!!!

Corgis add so much fun to every situation I can not imagine why everyone doesn't have at least one!

Bev....Love the pictures of your dogs....especially with your husband (I presume that is right) with the dobie. They both look so pleased. The corgis are delightful....I know that you have only two...so where do the others in the pictures come from? Aren't corgis just the best? I don't know what I would do with our mine....if nothing else they keep the vacuum busy and that helps keep the house clean. Love the picture with all the dog hair after a good grooming. Isn't it the truth. My dogs and I take long walks often...sometimes in the woods near us...or just around the neighborhood...they get so much attention and now several of the neighbors are thinking about getting corgis....Why, we may be able to have our own neighborhood corgi friendship parties. Mine love their walk because they are always stopped by people who want to pet them...They meet and great the neighborhood pugs, yorkie, scotties, border collies, and best of all their dear friends a black lab and mixed breed terrier. I think maybe I should open my back yard as a play area....Wonder who would clean up the poops?

Belated Happy New Year to all. With all the snow elsewhere, it seems strange to report that here in Tasmania we had one of the hottest New Year's Eves in many years. It was over 38C (100F) and there was a spectacular electrical storm about 9.30pm. Luther was worried by the noise but otherwise handled it much better than I expected. Not so spectacularly, we lost power for 15 hours. Watching Mum wandering around with a torch seemed to bother him more than the thunder!!

Sidney seems a bit sleep-deprived this morning, but I know he'll perk up when I get my hiking boots on for our traditional New Year's Day hike, :D
