there is nothing better than watching our corgis out in the snow. Chasing snowballs, running through drifts and just having fun. There is something very special about this time of year.

to all the snowbunnies....you won't believe this, but I do miss the white stuff....it is always so pretty as it floats to the ground when first untouched by human hand....just the hand of God sending moonbeams and sunrays to dance on it. I don't envy those of you who have 3 feet or more....but I really do miss the quiet of the snowfalls and its' beauty as it lays softly on tree branches and makes the winter postcard. I remember well, my 5 children spilling out of the house hardly able to move they had so much clothing on...dragging sleds and skates...their laughter that rang like bells as they flew down hills...my son playing hockey...the dogs jumping through drifts that were too tall for them...and comming up all covered with snow.... Well enough of this....I think I am getting homesick for the Minnesota winter....

we still seem to be on the edge of this storm too. We are getting the high winds and cold temps but very little snow. I guess I should not complain!

Sitting by the nice warm fireplace right now, after 10+ inches of snow and 35-40 mph winds all day! Thank goodness for snow blowers: we had a drift 3 ft tall in our driveway to plow thru! The wind isn't done blowing yet and now we are going to get single digit highs tomorrow! Welcome to Winter in Minnesota! Did get my popcorn balls done today though! YUM!

Well, if you don't get snow we could send you some! We have plenty to share!

Oh my gosh....what a weather change we have had....from really cold and wet to high 60's and sunshine...now get this, they are forecasting snow (maybe) for Saturday.....The dogs take a good look around before they step outside....I guess they are trying to decide if they need to wear boots or not..

All this talk of blizzards makes me glad I live in San Diego. Sure, we never have a white Christmas, but I don't have to deal with all that snow! We're having a cold fall by San Diego standards; it's been in the 50's (last night we actually hit 39 degrees!) and we've had some heavy rain, which we really needed.

Best of luck to all the snow bunnies today....The weather in our part of Virginia is wet, wet, and wetter....Boy have we had a lot of rain this year. Sam and Merry are voting NO regarding more wet weather....Temp around the 40's.....Actually supposed to have some snow Saturday....Time will tell....I well remember the winter weather you are all talking about having lived on the iron range in Minnesota for a number of years and in Wyoming, where Christmas always seemed to drop a bombshell of weather around -30 or so and the highways would be bumper to bumper when the semi-trucks would freeze up....Those were the days....Good luck to all of you....Cuddle up with the Corgis by the fireplace and stay warm.
