What is the "it" toy for Corgis this year? Gem and Ed seem to have started a Christmas list now.... number 1 is still treats!!

No shopping for me! Although we did put up our tree but this was the weekend of the big dog show so I went and watched corgis! That was lots of fun!

Whew!! what a busy weekend! Was out with the crowds bright and early Friday AM at 4:30! Scored some sweet deals, and found Ed & Gem some stocking stuffers, just toys so far.. a squeaky football for Ed, and soccer ball for Gem! Only .89 a piece at Fleet Farm! I won't compromise on their treats tho and will still buy them good quality stuff for their stockings! I got them each a stocking that says "I love my dog" for 1/2 price at Kohls. Hope you guys had a great weekend and didn't get to stuffed!! Going to change over my profile page today to look a little more like Christmas!!

Swedish Christmas cookies!!! Yum!! If you have any left over and don't know what to do with them you can ship em to this Svenska Flicka in Naples, Fl!!!

Yep, we will stay away from turkey necks and just enjoy the rest of the bird!! I made Nan's Swedish Christmas Cookie dough and it is now curing in the frig until Sunday!! I tell you, the house smelled so good the Corgis were circling my feet like vultures! I'm making them wait to taste until Sunday just like the rest of us!!! I wish you all the Happiest of Thanksgivings and give your corgis a hug from us!!!! Melissa

Well that would put an end to that idea! Happy thanksgiving everyone!

Edward & Gemima, I believe John Wolff said one of his corgis (pre-Al and Gwynnie) died from choking on a turkey neck. I would not take the chance, personally. :(

Try asking John Wolf, I know he feeds raw diet so he might know.

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF UNCOOKED RAW TURKEY NECKS ARE AN OK THING FOR A KNEE-HIGH HERDER???
Comment by Nancy Geddes on November 25, 2009 at 8:55am
My favorite recipe for left over turkey is turkey curry with jasmine rice, mango chutney, chopped green scallions, chopped peanuts and raita yogurt. The thigh is, in my humble opinion, the best part of the bird. Kate and I are going to deep fry our Perdue natural bird on Saturday because I will be commanding my kitchen Thanksgiving day and feeding approximately 600 people. There will be five corgis in the house and it's going to be a raucous occasion (had to get the corgi component in there!).. Everybody have a fabulous day tomorrow and remember to take the little brown packet out of the turkey before roasting...Nan
