I think I will try to find some plain canned pumpkin and make the frozen treats. All of our dogs think Ice Cubes are treats....we call them Ice Cookies. As soon as they hear us getting ice they come running. With the pup, Copper, I figure it is good for him as he is getting his adult teeth. Now, if I could just get him to stop eating my rugs I could be a happy camper! :)

Deer hunting season is scary for us here! I feel like were the ones hunted and I don't dare let the dogs run because someone might not appreciate the little corgi running and barking to say "hi" as there waiting for that big deer they just saw!!!!

I threw my pumpkins out for the deer. It was so cute to see them with their heads in the pumpkins! I tried to take a photo but it did not turn out. We are no longer allowed to feed them in Michigan so I miss doing that. I figured just throwing a couple out would not constitute "feeding". We are surrounded by patrolled park land, thankfully. I used to live pretty far out in the country and derr hunting season was pretty scary!

My goal today is to get the lights up and maybe start taking some dog pics for Christmas!!!! Once the hunters leave...my Bella is having a fit as they are down by the fence line and she would love to go "help" them!

Just make sure you get the plain pumpkin NOT the pie mix! I have 3 pumpkins left from Halloween and I'm going to bake them up today, puree them and freeze them in ice cube trays for little treats for their food...So I figure they'll be about a TBSP...I also like to roast the pumpkin seeds for myself!

Did you guys know there is a canned pumpkin shortage?? I just saw Beth's post on the blogs of Mycorgi.com. Does anyone routinely give their Corgis canned pumpkin??? How much do you give?? I was gonna use some to bake a pie or two for Thanksgiving so guess I better get out and get some before it is all gone!!

We are getting our outside decor up now while it is slightly warmer, rather than waiting for -20 degrees to do it! It is strange here in Mn probably, but everyone does it and then we will turn our lights on that first weekend after Thanksgiving!! As for goodies.. I'll be making Spritz cookies(our favorite)Peanut Brittle and lots of sugar cookies(a recipe in my family for 3 generations) I can't wait to sample it all and I may give Ed and Gem a sugar cookie to sample too!!!

Ok, getting ready early for Christmas is one thing my family does well! First, I work for our family owned Florist and second one of my sisters and her husband own a Christmas lighting business. I hope you'll check out both our websites. And if you ever need flowers you can call me and I can get them delivered for your worldwide!! www.genesflorist.com and www.trimmersholidaydecor.com
