I lost my corgi, Langston, 4 weeks ago today on Oct 1 and I'm still devastated.  He was 11 1/2 and seemed to be a healthy, happy corgi with many years ahead.  And around Aug he became very…Continue

Ok...he isn't a corgi...but he thought he was! We had Theo castrated last week and now he's gone! He ran and played right with my corgis all his short life here and they will miss all his crazy antics! He really acted like a dog! We'll miss you Theo!

Chloe was a real beauty and is probably having a great time with our other much loved corgis over the Rainbow Bridge!

Yesterday would have been Chloe's fourth birthday. I was sick, which somehow seems fitting, so I didn't leave a comment here. She was such a funny, smart dog and I miss all her little idiosyncracies. Rufus has started doing some things just like she did, which may be a corgi thing (although my first corgi never did them). However, sometimes it seems like it's a little "hello" from Chloe when he does something exactly like she would have. I picked her out when she was just four weeks old, and visited her once a week until she was old enough to come home with us. She was my little buddy and I miss her a lot.

I have read through the comments on this site, it is so hard to lose a loved one! We lost our dear Odie in March of 2006, and still grieve. He was sick for years, had mega esophagus, which resulted in many infections such as aspiration pneumonia. I became very adept at giving IV fluids and antibiotics. He was such a loving corgi - when I was ill, he was right at my side like an angel, protecting me. I know he is now able to eat like a normal boy and I cannot wait to see him again someday!

I'm so sorry to hear about Kazi.I agree with Bev, Kazi is running & playing with a lot of other Corgis. Keep your eyes & mind open. Chances are he will give you a sign that he is ok.

So sorry for your loss. Ilooked at your page and it appeared that Kazi was only 5! Way too young! Do they have any idea what he got into or do they think it was something like a virus? It is hard to lose them at any age and we would love to hear more about him. Again, sorry but remember he is racing around with a lot of very special corgis over the bridge!

I lost my baby 2 1/2 weeks ago, Kazi was a healthy corgi and one day he started licking dirt and a few days later his eye had a few broken blood vessels, I took him to the vet on Tuesday April 13th. The vet at first said he was Anemic so he gave him two kinds of medication and then the blood test came back and his count was 11, It is supposed to be 35-39. My poor baby went back and forth to the vet Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat. On Saturday the vet called me at home and Kazi was barking when the phone rang, the vet said that is a good sign. I had to take Kazi back to the vet on Monday for more monitoring. My daughter was going to take Kazi to the vet at 7"30 am when the vet opened because I had taken off so much work the week before to help me baby. Kazi was now on 3 different kinds of medication and they still really did not know what was wrong with him BUT my daughter called me screaming Mom Mom Kazi is dying, She was driving to the vet, I was in shock and I felt like I was having a heart attack. I was at work and fell when I was leaving. Because I was so upset I did not even realize I was hurt.Long story short I was on crutches and still having MRI's to figure out what I did to my knee. My baby is gone now and I am having a VERY hard time without him, I feel like I failed him. My vet thinks maybe he got bit by a tick and got Babesiosis. I miss him so much I feel so empty now !

My condolences to all who've lost their buddy. I rescued Twinkie for my Dad, then adoted her when he got Alzhiemer's. We had her for 6 years & lost her to in October of 2005. We now know she probably had degerative myelopathy. Putting her down was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I still miss her. If I say her name, her old buddy Stumpy (bullgi) still looks for her. Stumpy is almost 14 &1/2. I know his buddies Ruby & Lucy will miss him as much as I will when the time comes.
