Hello everyone! I'm a corgi mom new to this site, but loving it already. This group is perfect for me and my baby Liza. I've always loved corgi's and corgi mixes, and when I was considering buying one I decided to look into the local rescues first. I found my lovable corgi-shepherd mix at a rescue called happy tails. She had been injured in a local forest fire and over 60% of her body was burnt. She was missing a lot of her fur and she was in really bad shape when I picked her up. We have had Liz for about a year now and he has made a full recovery. I am so happy to have her in my life. :)

Hi al! Well, I've posted in messages and a few groups about a Corgi in Shawnee, Oklahoma, that needed a home. Actually, I had first pick for this last Saturday to go down and "visit," but I had another obligation that I needed to take care of. I called the lady on Thursday to "postpone" our meeting. I never got to that point in the conversation. She told me that the Corgi's name is "Lady," but she calls her "Ladybug." Tears came to my eyes. "Lady" is the name of my deceased little girl, whom I called "Ladygirl." Right then and there I knew the "union" was meant to be, I couldn't postpone, I had to go get her. So I left town at 5:30 a.m., arrived at "Lady's" house at 9:15 a.m., and it was love at first sight!
It has been said many times on here that "you can never have just one." Oh, how true that is! Topaz and Ladybug bonded right away. Frankie and Ladybug haven't quite gotten used to each other yet. Frankie just wants to play with her, but she's real tiny, and Frankie is a "bouncing boy" and tends to scare her with rough play. But that will all work itself out in time. A pic of my new little girl is on my homepage -- I'm so very happy and my heart is once again filled with joy and happiness in being "mom" to another little one who so desperately needed to fit in somewhere permanently! She's just an amazing and beautiful little girl and "cute as a bug" -- er, Ladybug, that is!

Has anyone had experience with cutaneous lymphoma? My Lilly has been diagnosed with it.

I adopted Emma from a foster family in Massachusetts, and brought Emma home to Washington DC.

@Deidra
Thank you! I did rename him, he was previously named Drago (apparently from a John Wayne movie). He is so hyper and friendly I felt something with a little more personality was in order!!

@Kate Leupold
I love your dog's name. It's so fun. Did he come with the name or did you rename him?
