i've made a lot of progress this past week with chloe. she actually had her first real playdate with another dog. and she did really well. i've got a long raod ahead of me before she will be ready for a new puppy but we are getting somewhere now. i never thought i would see the day when she was playing with another dog instead of trying to take its face off.

My Autumin was rescued from death row as well. Her owners dropped her off at a high kill shelter completely covered in scabs and open bleeding wounds mange. She looked more like a starved zombie than a corgi. I can't imagine someone neglecting her so much and then throwing her away at a shelter starved and alone. But in a way I'm glad they did because my life would never be the same without her!

Amen, Lady Bug! Our dogs were definitely meant to be ours! I can't imagine who wouldn't want Caleb, so it must be he was simply looking for me. :-)

I love my baby, he was rescued from death row at a shelter and that organization worked hard to find him a home. Thankfully, that home was me. I don't know how I ever lived without him

I know...I don't understand it! Rueben was one of the last of the small dogs to be adopted and was at the shelter for 3 months before I took him home. He was fairly shy, reserved and they told me that he would never be a lap sitter or an affectionate dog. How wrong they were!

Griff was my Christmas surprise two years ago. Since he was born at a shelter to a female rescued from a puppy mill, someone adopted him as a young puppy and later brought him back. My boyfriend rescued him at 10 months from the shelter where Griff was actually on sale because he'd been there so long.

I'm so glad we adopted him when we did - to this day I can't believe that no one wanted my fluffy little boy for a solid couple of months! But it must have been fate because he's our crazy little sweetheart now =)

i got chloe 2 yrs ago just before she was to be taken to a shelter. the lady who bought her was trying to give her away on halloween. mark saw her when he was out with his daughter and he went back the next day and got her for me.
she was only 4 months old and had spent most of that time in a crate, alone. due to this she lacks the skills to play nice with others...she just doesnt understand. she has gotten a lot better than she used to be and when at my parents house i know have the dogs seperate with just a baby gate. i hope to make more progress with her so that i can get her a little brother to play with.

Hello, I am Bear and I was rescued from being put down just days before my schedualed execution date. Mom and Dad brought me to my new home and have showed me, every day, how much they love me and I have done my very best to return thier love. I was only six months old when I came to my new home and almost never made a mistake on the floor. Dad says that I just knew not to poop or pee on the floor but I don't remember. I am almost eight years old now and can not imagin a life without my family. I have a big sister, Joni, but she is not a Corgi. She is a Great Dane but we don't ever tell anyone and she gets by ok. I have a little sister named Ollie who is a collie and is just silly. I don't think she even cares that she is not a Corgi, but she loves me and Mom and Dad and Joni, shows it every time we come home from work and that is enuff for me. I have a hard time getting enuff to eat. Mom feeds me but not every time they eat and I have seen in the fridge and there is a lot of stuff in there, I can just smell it! Joni will sometimes take things off of the counter but what ever she gets up there almost never makes it to the floor. I guess about the only thing wrong around here is that I dont get to eat as much as I would like. Maybe some of Y'all could explain to Mom how much food a Corgi needs.

Hi- I'm Rueben and and am very glad that I was rescued! I was living with 50 other dogs in a trailer for 3 years. I've been in my new home since 2005 and have learned all sorts of things like: how to climb stairs, how to go potty and poo outside and most of all how nice it is to give and receive love! I have to say that my biggest challenge was finding a way to let my master know that I have to go outside....I don't like barking and the constant staring wasn't working but alas I am able to get their attention if I sneeze over and over again!
