We'll be picking up our very own Cardigan in little over a week! We'll most likely be getting a male and these are our top two on the list. I'll be sure to post more pictures of the litter soon.

We have introduce our new puppy to the pack and she has been very brave about engaging with Koda and Lola , but I am worried that their "play" may be too rough.
She will run , chase and nip to get them to play , and individually they are pretty tolerant. What I worry about is that the bigger dogs will chase her down and roll her around and when they nip back they dont bare their teeth but nudge and growl pretty roughly
Should I be concerned , should we just let them sort it out or…

Yesterday when I had King at the vets, he noticed a "hole" in his side. He said it was a definite puncture wound. Astounded by this, I couldn't think of anything he would have hit. His vet also said that it was very recent about 6 hrs prior and probably closer to 2 hrs. He could tell apparently from the bruising. I was upset, worried, totally out of it. Both my husband and myself were at work. . . . . . .so the obvious assumption was that someone, unknown to us and to King, came into the house,…

I can not believe how crazy things have been around our home lately! I cant even check my email let alone get on here to see what is going on with my fellow corgi familes!
Our puppy is growing like a weed and very muscular. She is bigger than Kyuubi was at her age... she is a good dog, but is at the age that she wants to do what she wants instead of listening all the time... but she listens after a while and is getting better.
We just weaned Kyuubi to the new food (as he is now an…

Sorry I haven't been on much this week with updates, things just looked so bad I couldn't bring myself to type it. As of yesterday afternoon, all the test weren't showing anything and he wasn't eating, still puking with the meds they had given him, he was loosing his hair, had lost 4 pounds this week and even after being admitted and given an IV I was trying to prepare myself for his death. Preparing my kids for the same was one of the hardest things I've ever done. This morning he woke up…

Hi, all ! So very sorry about not keeping in contact for such a long time -- rescues have me overwhelmed right now, and it's difficult to spend as much time on here as I would like. However, I know you will all understand.
I'm just grabbing a few minutes here to post an urgent notice about a tri-colored fluffy Cardi/mix that I will be fostering until a home can be found. Right now, he is at a kill shelter in Dodge City, Kansas, with numbered days. I just called the coordinator 15…

So walking with Faye today she grabbed what looked like a caterpillar off the sidewalk. I immediately tried to get it from her but she swallowed it before I could. Right away she looked at me like "what did I do?" then started acting really uncomfortable and threw up her breakfast. Not to get too graphic but it was kinda frothy and gross. I brought her upstairs and gave her some water, she started acting better but still kept coughing and gagging a little.
She seems okay now but…

Let me first start by saying... our Soffie is a tall girl and quite a bit larger boned than our Griffyn and weighs in at 38lbs. 3 weeks ago Soffie pulled up lame on her hind left leg. This following a full tilt run across the front yard. Hard to know exactly how the injury actually occured but.... the end result was a torn cruciate ligament. We had an appointment this past monday with an orthopedic surgeon (believe me we had already done so much research on this injury!! Pros / cons to surgery.…

My family went on a four day vacation, and Mischa stayed with one of my grandma's co-workers. Sadly, said co-worker has a young daughter and Mischa hasn't given up her biting. She's home now, but I can't help but wonder how she behaved with Carrie's daughter... But, she's gotten bigger and can jump up into the house from the patio now. Luckily, she's also learning that going to the back door means potty-time and is sleeping through the night. (Yay for me!) She's currently trying to eat my…

Sport got fixed today. I was very nervous about it, being the protective mommy I am. I made sure he went with the vet I wanted, also. It put me at ease handing off the leash, although I did end up crying when Sport looked back with his "where are you going?" face. But he's home now, sleeping it off.
I was afraid he was going to lose his pep if we got this done. I guess I'll find out in a week or so. =)

My puppy,Bella, was trained on pee pads from the time I bought her. I am in a routine of taking her out at 4:30am when I get up for work. Bella will go outside and pee and I stand with her and watch to make sure she does, but she inevitably come inside and goes again on the pad. She does this while I am rushing around getting ready for work. I let he :(
Perhaps I need to change her feeding schedule? I feed my pups first thing in the morning and again at 4pm in small servings, as my…

But I have some interesting updates!
1) I moved out into an apartment with my boyfriend, Donny. Me, him and Winston are loving it in our new apartment neighborhood, where there seems to be a dog in almost every apartment! We have a French Bulldog neighbor named Chester, and there's plenty more dogs everywhere.
2) Winston went to the vet a month ago, and he weighed in at 37 pounds! I know! How did I let that happen?! Either way, Winston is getting some longer walks and I'm…
