This am Livvy decided to use my 1/2 wall as a balance beam. She has done things like this before. Does anyone else have a dog that climbs into or onto strange places? Occasionally one of my others make climb on the table but Livvy tries things like this quite often.

Oppy loves laying on the top of our couch, it's deep enough that he has no problem just laying there. The problem is when we go to my parents' or Hilliary's parents' houses, their couches don't have that same depth to them and he still tries to get up there. Needless to say, he can't really stand or lay up there, so it doesn't last very long.

Morgan has taken to climbing up the couch and into the bay window to sun himself. I sware this guy is part cat! He likes the window cuz he can watch the birds and cars go by. He also keeps on the look out for invisible intruders. Non so far this morning but we are watching. LOL

Potus just tries to go in bedrooms and the bathroon where he isn't allowed. He knows he isn't supposed to and as soon as we find him he will steal something (usually a sock) and run out like he knows his time in out of bounds is up and has to take a souvenier.

Apparently when he was a pup at the breeder he got up on a retaining wall in the garden and jumped off. Luckily he hasn't been such a daredevil at home.

Seanna lives on my coffee table. She sleeps there and lays there to look out the window. It doesn't matter that she could lay on the couch, she likes the coffee table for some reason. I gave up trying to keep her off it--as you probably know, corgi's have a mind of their own!

I have had 2 other corgis do the table trick and yes...staying calm and getting there before they jump down is a big priority! Mine scaled the same wall Livvy used to walk on and continued onto the table to greet me! Yes why is it the camera usually isn't ready for those unexpected shots???
Comment by Natalie, Lance &Tucker on October 6, 2009 at 11:10pm
When Lance was a pup, he had jumped up onto a chair that was pulled out from the table and then jumped up on the table!! He was helping his human sisters with their clean up duty after dinner, hehe. I heard the tags on him and turned around and boy was I surprised, I stayed very calm, so I didnt startle him and make him jump down! Luckily he waited for me to get over there and set him down on the floor. I so wish I could have had a camera close by so I could have gotten a picture of it!!

She's just showing off her agility skills! Actually, Stella's fairly daring in her attempts to go places and do things, but she's only 6 months old. Sometime it gets her in trouble---like when she ran into the glass door over the weekend--ouch!

Jane, Gemima thinks she is able to climb tree limbs and will climb up and down a plank to the slide joyously!!!!! When we walk in the woods she often climbs a downed tree limb, she hasn't got up on the back of the couch since she was a pup,but she'd actually fall asleep up there when she was little!!!

Sounds like Livvy will be perfect for agility. Izzy loves to get on the back of the couch and sleep. Sparty just loves walking on the curbs when we are out! He loved agility until he injured his knee.

I wouldn't call it strange as much as extra-friendly, but Domino will jump into the laps of our guests and just curl up and make herself at home. She'll also woof at them, quietly, as if to say "hey, pet me"
