I always thought but don't know that the long hair there was from the docking...2 of mine have that and their breeders docked it and 2 of mine have the show dock so I can't see the longer hair but when my vet did my pups...he glued them and they did not have this longer hair...again this is a thought not a fact!

Gem has the fashion fur nub as well, I have contemplated trimming it but thought we might start a new trend!!! Ha Ha1

Huh now this thread makes me wonder if LO has a natural bob. His tail/nub sticks straight up and that little bit of fur just waves around in the breeze.

Sparty has one too! I think it is really cute and he walks with it in the air so I know he is proud of it too. He is a natural bob.

I just found out that natural bob tails can have this "tail flag" also.. In that case I think it's just longer fur on the underside of the tail just like the longer white "trousers" fur.

If you've ever seen an undocked Pembroke tail, sometimes have longer poofy fur like a fox's tail. I'm guessing that there's just a bit of skin left from his dock that grows this longer fur. It is cute though. :)
