since i woke up this morning teddy has been throwing up. at first it was the slimy foam stuff so i went to feed teddy and he wouldnt touch his food. thats not like him at all! i tried through out the morning but still wouldnt eat so i tried brown rice and chicken. about an hour later he threw that up as well. hes been wanting to play but i wont play with him because i know he needs rest. he has been sort of hiding in our bed room when he decides to sleep,  which he use to do when he was a pup and not feeling well.

i do have 2hunches of what it could be. last night i gave him a toy full of peanut butter and not even ten minuets of eating that he threw that up and then ate his own puke before i realized he did(i could see the marks on the floor) i think maybe i didnt clean the toy out well enough?

2nd, well me and my husband got into a huge argument and we havnt talked much since yesterday which has never happened before. im kinda depressed today so im not sure if hes just picking up on that or not...my husband took him out this morning so i didnt get to see how his poop was and when i asked him i got the cold shoulder :/

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, im already having a bad day and i cant stand seeing my buddy like this

thank u

Gee I hope your day improves! I would skip his next meal and then give him a little chicken and rice for the next one. Just a small amount to be sure his tummy has settled down.
I gave him a small meal about 3hrs ago. He finally kept that down. My day hasn't improved but hopefully teddys will :)
Poor Teddy...feel better soon. I don't believe it's from the fight but agree to feed him light today. Good luck!
Thank u Jane. I hope its not from the fight. We r still not talking to each other and Teddy keep sticking to me every time I try to. That tells u which side hes on lol
sounds like a possible obstruction. Has he eaten any toys/bones/etc in the last week or so? Monitor his poop. Keep an eye on him it could be nothing or it could be pancreatitis, obstruction, etc. If he continues to vomit constantly, won't eat and won't drink I'd get him into the vet to make sure its nothing serious.
He has eaten a smoked bone last Saturday and on Sunday he couldn't poop so I gave him canned pumpkin, green beans and carrots with olive oil and it did the trick. He has been fine up until last night. Teddy dosnt destroy toys so I know it wasn't that. I can't get him to the vet until Monday otherwise he would be in by now:( I just gave him some more chicken and he threw that up immediately. Should I just not give him anything until tomorrow?
if he is vomiting immediately after you feed him that is kind of a sign of an obstruction. Again, could be other stuff too. Just make sure he is drinking lots of water and withhold food for 24 hours. If you do decide to feed him later tonight only give him 2 tablespoons of food then wait 2 or 3 hours and offer more if he doesn't vomit. Make sure he is drinking still, adding low sodium chicken broth to the water can encourage him to drink. If he vomits the water too then you need to find an emergency vet and get him in ASAP. If it is an obstruction or pancreatitis the longer you wait the worse off he will be. So keep an eye on more vomiting, vomiting water and/or not drinking, and diarrhea (with or without blood). These are all signs he should be brought in ASAP especially if it has gone on all day with no improvement at all.
Thank u, I am keeping a close watch on him. He was able to keep some food down but if no signs of improvement he will see the vet
Wishes for Teddy to feel better real soon.  Feel better Teddy so Mom can feel better too.
Thank u!:)

One thing is sure, he doesn't need to eat. Let his stomach settle, like Bev suggested, for at least 12 hours with no solid food.  I would not push water either, that can come up too.  When his stomach has been steady for a few hours, try water in small amount, a tablespoon or two, and repeat in 30 minutes if it stayed down and he's wanting it.  If this works for a few times, you can try a larger amount of clear broth, say 1 cup or so..  Later you can try a bit of rice and chicken, or rice and some plain yogurt.  Go slow, if his stomach is irritated the best thing is to let it rest. I don't think this has anything to do with the fight with your husband, though it's always nice to be able to blame one's husband :-)

If all goes well, stick to 4 small meals of soft food the next day.  After that, you can try to add in a bit of kibble, no more than half and go back to 2 meals.  He should be able then to go back to his normal food and schedule, on the following day.

If this slow course of action is not yielding success, or if you have vomiting AND diarrhea, then you need to have him seen.

Thank I for the advice. It just hard to see him like this. I gave him a table spoon of rice/chicken and he has kept that down for about 3hrs now so I'm hoping it was just a small bug. :)
