Since it  has been over 15 years since I have had a puppy I feel I am out of the loop on traiing.  I have read many things on the net and have several books I have read.  Just wondering if it is common for potty traiining to regress for a while?  For the first 5 days Sophie didnt have an accident in the house, and we where so proud of her.  But lately she has been having accidents, we are letting her outside constantly, always after food, play and naps.  I know she is still very young and potty training takes alot of time and patients.  Just wasnt sure if the regression in common?   Thanks again for all your help

Absolutely!

It's definitely common.  Ellie came to us untrained (since she was only 9 weeks old) and she has regressed a couple of times already.  We would have about 1 week where it seemed like she had finally "gotten it" and then she would start going inside again.  We've had about 2-3 weeks, now, of no accidents and I'm hoping that she's finally (mostly) past that.  At 7 months, it's still possible she may regress.  I've even heard of 1-year-old dogs, in those lovely teenage years, having slight regression.  Just keep at it!  :)

It's normal. Does she get to run outside for a bit??? That many times helps them go. Can you make sure she goes before she comes back in???  Sage was very good at sneaking into another room and going:( She was so busy playing outside that sometimes she didn't go...until a bit later in the house!
