YIPPEE!  The Wisconsin Corgi Picnic was a blast last year.

I have already RSVPed. 

Hope to see more Illinois Corgi owners this year.  It is worth the drive.

Hi guys! I am actually from WI and the creator of the Cheesehead Corgi group, and I just wanted to let you know that we are planning a WI Corgi Picnic, so if anyone who is close and would like to come is more than welcome to. :) 

It is Sept. 8, 1-5pm at the Jefferson County Dog Park Small Dog Area. I have posted the details on the front page of MyCorgi, so feel free to RSVP. We will have breeders and trainers on site as well as a Raffles For Rescues (ticket price is $1=1 ticket, $5=6 tickets). the price of admission is $5/dog which is paid to the Jefferson County Parks & Recs (there is a sign in and drop box as you enter). We also ask that you bring a dish to pass.

Just wanted to share a PSA... I received an email tonight about a corgi for adoption. The listing is on http://corgi.rescueme.org/Illinois (12-05-22-00309Fred). He's 10 years old and sounds very sweet. I'm tempted to give our girl a big brother but I don't think it's feasible for us right now.

After months of going to the dog park in Normal, I finally met 3 other corgis from town. Anyone else down this way?

Jason,

I hope that we will do another Freeport Corgi Picnic in the fall.  Not sure of a date since Wisconsin is also planning to move their picnic to September.  We will have to make sure they are 2 or 3 weeks apart so we can do both.

In the meantime... I am planning CORGI-CON for May 19.  Check it out in the discussion above or on the EVENTS listing on the main page.  It is CLOSE for you.  B/N to Urbana is only about 1 hour.  Are you joining us that day??
