i think baden has a crack in his tooth! i always check his teeth and brush them every Sunday so this just recently happened over the past few days. So yesterday when i was playing with him i noticed this :(  i think i may know what it was. i had gotten him some smoked rib bones from target and he has never had them before and wanted to give him something edible to chew as he is always gnawing on his nylabones and i cant find the roasted cow knee bones i used to by for him. here are some pics, is it really serious?

I can't see a cracked tooth in your photos.  Which tooth?   always loved buying the thick beef femur bones until Al split his upper-right carnasial in half,  $300+.

Also note the terrible plaque on Al's teeth.  If your dog devlops stuff like that, consider a brushing regimen of some kind.  I may try the Sonicaire electric toothbrush on him.

Al's cracked carnasial tooth, beef bones

its his large canine, with the brown line a crossed it. i know its hard to tell in the pics but it feels like a small crack because i can move my finger nail over it and feel an indent

It would probably be best to take Baden to the vet if you are not sure.

Yes I would go to the vet. Hopefully it is not a crack!

You might look at it very closely with a hand lens or magnifying glass.  It may be just a groove that's always been there.

I do not give Al big beef bones anymore; they do crack teeth.

He has an appointment tomorrow at 10am

Good Luck :)

Good luck!
