We were playing fetch with a tennis ball, and an unlucky bounce hit my little 10 week-old right in the eye. He let out a really awful scream and barely opened his eye for nearly minutes. He immediately ran to a corner and stayed there for almost 15 minutes until I took him out to go the bathroom.
At first his eye was a bit red, but 20 minutes after the accident now and it's just a little pink and wide open. He seems to be a little more lively now too but is still staying close to me.
Should I see a vet or wait it out?

I would call the vet and ask if you need to bring him in or if not what signs to look for if it gets worse.
Update:
Looking at his eye, it's barely pink anymore and is definitely getting better with time (he stopped squinting a while ago too). There was no discharge and his eye looks okay with just a little irritation. He's acting like his normal self too.
To be on the safe side I would call the vet, explain everything and if he doesn't want to see him, ask what to look for so you can be on top of it if he does develop a problem.
