I have been rescued by all sorts of critters since I was a little girl. I currently have a puppy mill rescue girl, Miss Daisy, who's been w/ me for about a month now. I found her surfing CorgiAid. Daisy is the sweetest little girl and must have gone through so much. She was in a wonderful foster home her first 2.5 months and made great strides there and learned what it means to be loved and protected.

Daisy has a long way to go in believing that she is actually safe and isn't going to be stuffed in another horrible cage and attacked by other dogs. She is missing all of her right ear and has very severe dry eye in her left eye. But that doesn't mean she isn't plucky!

My other corgi is cardi CH Skeezix--I've had corgis for 25 years and he's my only show dog and I'm very proud of him. However, I am most proud of him for being such a loving brother for Miss Daisy. He knew from the minute she came into the house that she needed lots of love, and that's what he always gives her. And he is sharing his personal rescue cat, Snicker Nasty Kat, with Daisy--Snicker came here because his family couldn't keep him and he has turned into a remarkable "dog" since then.

My other pem rescue, Mr. Monty, had been thrown away in a St. Louis park and after being captured/saved, he was helped by CorgiAid to regain his health. Monty was a beautiful, sweet redheaded tri pem. I think that his people dumped him because of his kidney disease and pneumonia. I was only blessed with Monty's sweet soul for 5 months before I had to help him on his way to the Bridge, but all of those months were precious.

All of my cats, and there have been many, have either come from the shelter, been in need of homes due to owners' changed circumstances, or found their way to my house on their own! I currently have 2 other cats besides Snicker: Cooney Grey was sitting on the yellow line in the road when I scooped him up and Prince Qunicy had to be rehomed because his momma -- a 95 yr old lady, was in a nursing home.

My other dog rescue was Aunt Jeff, a little brown dog that people here call a "feist"--sort of a beagle/hound mix and small. My vet gave me Aunt Jeff and he was a close to being a corgi as any dog could be without actually being any part corgi!!

If I could I would have many more critters, but right now Daisy deserves all of the zoo's loving attention!

I got my corgi from my dad as a birthday present... he rescued her from a shelter she was only a couple days from being put down because she was older and no one wanted her... she was only 5 months. My dad saw her and thought she would be perfect for me. I was giong threw a rough time with my parents getting sepportated and i was changing in to high midddle school so i needed someone there with me all the time. When he brought her home i feel in love....it took us a while to figure out what to call her but it final came to me......Roo... like a kangaroo with the big ears and she was always hopping around haha. I fit her so well...she was basicly part of the family with in 2 weeks ha the first week i had her i didnt even need a leash she listen and i had no problem with her every now she is turning 5 years old on June 28.....

My second corgi came from a shelter about 2 hours away from where I live. I spotted him on Petfinder. He was left at a mobile home park shortly after a large employer in the community announced its closing.
The third corgi I got from an individual who just "didn't have time for her." Originally, she too came from a shelter as a puppy. My intention was to have her fostered and find her a good home. Guess she found it herself! We've had her since July 08.
The last corgi I acquired after inquiring about an ad on Craig's List. The family was giving away a 9-mo. corgi because it didn't get along with their other dog. They had bought the dog from a breeder at 8 weeks of age and kept it kenneled almost all the time they told me. Again, I had a foster home lined up to buy time to find him a home but when the dog came to us he wasn't housetrained, wasn't leash trained, didn't know any basic commands so the foster backed out - Corgi #4! I also have a German sheperd from the shelter and 2 shelter cats!
My first Corgi was actually my first dog of my very own and I bought him from a small-time breeder almost 9 years ago.

I got my little guy because my daughter wrecked her jeep and was hoping to lessen the fallout from having to tell me about it. I have been a shepherd person all my life but always had an infatuation with the corgis which she was well aware of, she had stopped by a local feed shop and there was someone standing outside with Oscar a 3yr old, saying somebody take him please, they ran down a laundry list of problems that he had-- yeah right--after having him for a short time I found none of the problems that they seem to think that he had, but he did have a few quirks that we have managed to work out. I am going to guess it went something like this He probably spent 80% of his time in a crate, was extremely possessive over his crate to the point of aggression, fixed that next, food bowls were another point of agitation, fixed now shares with a cat next, did not have obedience or even a response to his name, fixed works off leash and has a new name Roscoe P. Coletrain next, the one thing they forgot to mention he has an eye condition where one of the tear ducts doesnt work and at some point he will probably go blind in that eye, can't fix oh well life is good with this little guy and wouldnt trade him if I could. Can we agree the last was the real reason for getting rid of him.

What a cute little american bull dog!! LOL! I mean corgi! Ha Ha! So glad to see more rescues! They are great! Just looking for all of us, right??!!!! Welcome Cowboy!

Im so glad to find you! I was rescued form the American Bull Dog Society. I am so thankful! My sister saw me come around the side of the house and we never been apart since! Thanks for having this for all of us!

HI MY NAME IS MARTHA AND I AM FROM PORLTAND TEXAS IF ANYONE KNOW OF A CORGI IN NEED OF RESCUE PLEASE LET ME KNOW I HAVE A 15 MONTH OLD CORGI AND I LOVE THINK THEY ARE THE BEST DOGS AROUND.
