I have:
VonShore-RJ's Noble Lexus --we call her, Lexus
VonShore-RJ's R-R Zinfindel --we call him, Zinfindel or Zin
JEM's Payton Oleander --- we call him, Payton
For Lexus, she came from their "N" litter. We got to pick the name after the kennel name but it had to include an "N" word, thus the Noble ......Zin came from the cowboy litter. Again we got to pick the name after the kennel name but it had to include or reference a cowboy--thus R-R when stand for Roy Rogers as if we spelled it out with Zinfindel it would be too long to register. Then we had to change the spelling of Zinfindel from Zinfandel as akc had too many Zinfandels. .....We got to pick Payton's entire name. We wanted JH and JM's Payton Oleander but were told couldn't have that as JH is an earned title. (JH = my husbands intitals; JM - my initials); so we changed it just my full initials.
LaVerne's registered name is Short Starbuck's Foxy Lady LaVerne. Her Grandma's name is Starbuck's Sweet Lacy and her Grandpa's name is Foxlor Shafrhaus Sammy Sosa so I took bits and pieces of those names and threw in a few for good measure. Her name is longer than SHE is....lol. I also like the WA state references in her name: Starbucks and Jimi Hendrix both from Seattle!
All my corgis registered names start with Weihe (pronounced "why") so we have:
Weihe Willows Wynn(Wynn)
Weihe Beloved Bella (after our 1st Bella)
Weihe Rhiannon Reigns (Joanna has Rainy now)
Weihe Gwenneth Olivia (Livvy)
Sage will be Weihe__?_____ Sage....still needs her name:)
Although I've discovered there's a kennel that breeds Pembrokes named "Merrylegs", in honor of my first corgi, I always put Merrylegs in my dogs' registered name. Since I don't show them, there is luckily no confusion.
So, we have Merrylegs Gwillym Rufus, we had Merrylegs Chloe Cariad and our new puppy will be Merrylegs Ffionn Fach
We are not very inventive at our house and I wanted to pay homage to my husband's favorite sports teams and my Alma Mater so we went with Spartan Fan and Izzone Fan. I like how creative everyone is!
Frankie's name is "San Francisco's Ballpark Frank"
I figured since he's so long (he has an extra vertebrae), I'd name him after a hot dog and the city I lived in :-)
Madoc's official name is Dalarno Moonstruck Knight. His mother's name is Triple H Moonstruck at Dalarno, and her call name is "Loretta" for the Cher character in the movie. Ch. Letalone Creek Knight Train ("Trucker") sired the litter. So I combined his parents' names for his. Of course we call him Mad, Maddy, the Madster, and The Mad Dog.
These names are so creative and cute! Tegan is O'Riley's Sophia Tegan.... O'Riley is part of her mom's name, and Sophia is my favorite little girl's name, and Tegan is Welsh (meaning beautiful). I've decided all of mine going forward will be named after the military alphabet (like in the TV show "Dollhouse"). Our next one will be Tegan's Whiskey-A-Go-Go and will be called Whiskey. And eventually I'll have an Echo and a Charlie and a Tango. Goofy but I like it!
