I've heard from a few folks that fluffies actually shed less than regular coated Corgis. Does anyone have experience with a fluffy who can comment on the shedding factor? Also, how much more grooming do they require?

Thanks!

While I don't own a fluffy - everything I've read/heard about them has warned that they're more heavier in the grooming department.

Now Im not sure if that necessarily means because they shed more or just because all that fluff gets dirty faster. I'm sorry I can't be much more help :(
Shippo sheds just as much as a regular corgi, but since I have to brush him every day, it gets out most of the dead hair, and makes it seem like he sheds less. =D

I use three different brushed to groom Shippo daily - a Kong zoom groom to get out the dead guard hairs, an undercoat rake to detangle and get out the dead undercoat, and a slicker to smooth out the coat and pick up whatever the other two left behind. >^_^/body>
oh my god my flufy who i adore sheds constantly ...only this week we had an emergency vet visit because his hair casued problems leading to him not being able to poo so from a fluffy owner shedding is part of the love routine
The two fluffies I have met shed profusely and their long hair picks up lots of dirt etc off the ground. Both of the owners said they have them professionally groomed. However, they were both cute as could be!
I am not sure about comparing levels, but my fluffy Miranda does not shed terribly. If I brush her once a week she is fine, and you cannot notice any tumble weeds rolling across the wood floor. I think fluffies are beautiful and I love them. The bummer is washing them, she takes for ever to dry. But other than that she is wonderful and cuddly soft.
My fabulous fluffy Linus does not appear to blow coat as much as my two standard coated corgis. He does require lots of brushing and excellent conditioning after shampooing. That is followed by a long blow dry because Linus could smell moldy if not dried after bathing. His skirt and fancy pants require shaping because they drag everything around in them and that's rough when herding out in the country. Your groomer also needs to sculpt a "poop chute" to lessen "cling-ons". There is an excellent essay on the web on how to groom a fluffy if you type in the words - fluffy corgi, grooming -. Yet, they are the most beautiful corgis.
Thanks for the advice everyone!
I totally just posted a thread on the "Found by a Fluff" page about shedding before I read your post... scary.
