My fave is Reece and it's also a true Welsh name ...I believe as I thought of using too! I did find with one of my females though that I had named Gwenneth and had dog ID's and everything that she was not a Gwenneth and so her name is now Olivia or as we call her Lively Livvy! So you might want to have a backup name!

REece is good for a girl, but I would not use it for boy. I would choose Alex, it is a nice androgynous name.

Cardis may have Welsh in the name but they were brought to Wales by Celtic tribes. We went for a good Irish name!
What exactly are you getting? Was it a male blue merle? Do you have any pics?
If it is for a blue merle, I like Simon or Reece.

The name Kaine seems more suited for a large dog like a Great Dane or Mastiff. Any particular reason you chose Reece and he chose Kaine?
