Lots of swimming for our two little beach lovers too!! Our lake had a bunch of Channel catfish die off in last week or 2, DNR says it is a fungus specific to them and no other problem with Lake(whew)It has been an unusually warm and humid summer here and I think the water got too warm? Anyway a stinky situation for a while and the Corgis just love that added authenticity to lake living!!!!

All our boys are doing this summer is swimming, sleeping and eating. Chepstow got to sit in the golf cart while Dad played some golf yesterday. He thought he was just so cool sitting there. Tenby stayed home and enjoyed the air conditioning. He lays facing the vent, "praying to the air condition gods" .

Spaty & Izzy look like their enjoy their summer vacation too.
Chloe Mae has taken up agility and seems to really like it. The Az heat doesn't seem to bother her during her runs , now ask me what I think of it. Enjoy the rest of the summer. Rosemary T & Chloe Mae

Sparty and Izzy in front of the Mackinaw Bridge. They have enjoyed their 4th and Izzy almost (or so she thought) caught one of the pesky little chipmunks running all over our campsite. Very exciting! I still think their favorite thing about vacation is have us with them 24/7.

We are having a big seafood boil out at our cabin. We throw crab, shrimp, potatoes, corn on the cob, and sausage in a big pot of boiling water seasoned with old bay or cajun spices. We are also trying some little crawdads in there for the first time!! We dump it out on a table lined with newspaper when it's done and line up at the trough. Then on to pontooning and festooning!!!! Ed and Gem love all the company and extra attention. I do have to watch them with crab leg shells laying around though. We tell our guests to discard those as soon as they are done. HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY FOURTH!!!!!

What would a horse show corgi do but spend the 4th at a horse show or at least resting up from one. Aunt Robin is going out of town so we might go over and take over her house and backyard and pretend to be hermits!

Everyone here decorates their boats and we have a big parade around the lake the morning of the 4th. Chepstow loves to sit up front and look regal. In the evening we will anchor out in the lake and watch the fireworks. Being a California girl I am going to make Carolina BBQ pork for the first time. It takes about 8 hours on the grill. Should be good, they call it a "pig pickn"
