You're right,You never know what color they'll end up being.Yep,Merlin had to have ccl surgery on his left backleg after flying down a steep sand dune.We were out camping at the time and had to run inland 2 hrs to an urgent care clinic.He had that surgery last Feb2.Then a month later,he walked outside on the patio and the other rear right leg ccl went.Second surgery was 5 weeks after the first.Alot of rehab for 3 months!!He still gets a little stiff after long walks uphill or runnung on the beach.But,when he throws back his head and takes off like a shot,You have to smile.Lovin life!!

Talking about the tris and their final coat colorings:I have always been amazed at how much they change as they mature.Merlin's 2 ccl surgeries and the shaved back legs didn't change his final colors,even though he was only 1 when he hurt himself.BTW,love the black mask on Your adorable little girl's muzzle :).She really looks like a fox!!
