I brought home our sweet little Lucille about 6 weeks ago...so she's 16 weeks old.  She is doing great at running around in the house and chasing toys outside.  She has even gone on a couple neighborhood walks.  The last two walks my husband and I have taken her on, we'll head out (and she's really excited to explore) and after walking about 6 feet, she'll just flop on the ground.  Then, I'll get her going again, and after about 6 feet, she flops again....she continues to do this…

Today we went by one of our natural swimming holes a little ways from our house, bringing Bella along so she could get out of the house with us. Being today that it was hot, quite a lot of families were at the swimming hole as well. Today Luigi is going to go to the groomers today for the first time! I can't wait to see how he looks after. I will post pics of him when he is done. He will be so cute and he gets a bandanna after too!

My breeder just asked if I would like to buy an 8 month old.  My stomach has dropped out of my body entirely and my heart is pumping.  I don't know what to do!

On one hand, I really wanted to get a puppy puppy.  I have two more years as a student, where I never need be away from home for more than a couple of hours at a time.  That optimal puppy-raising atmosphere is unlikely to appear again for many, many years.  Sure, I'd have to wait until December/January for a puppy, but…

The count down has finally begun! My boyfriend and I have finally picked out a puppy we want and will be picking him up next Wednesday. He is just over 7 weeks old. It will be a two hour drive home from KC to Manhattan, KS. Any tips or advice? Also what are some essentials I will need to get before being the puppy home? 

I got a scare this afternoon and was ultimately proud of Becca. We were walking by the river, she was off leash. Becca ran around a tree after something gray, I thought it was a squirrel. They looped back around by me and ran up a hill, it was a gray fox kit. I about had a heart attack and immediately called for her to come. It took four "BECCA COME" (10-15 seconds maybe), but Becca came flying back. I praised her to high heaven, treated and leashed.

well last Friday @ 5pm was the last day of the cooling off period of the sale of our house!. It has sold!!!!. We have to move out by the 2nd of August. we were to exchange contracts and had the bank cheque for the deposit on our new Home Langi Dorn last Friday but our Lawyer still has to get one very important document on the new house and is waiting on that!.
