The vest makes the difference!

So today we had a very fun time! Grandma and Grandpa moved back from Germany into their old house and mom brought me over to play with cousin Apex and go to the lake!

Oooooo Some people get to me... train your dog.

Seriously.. I've heard this from many people on here but I've never personally have had a bad issue in a dog park yet...

And then this woman brings "Shakira" in tonight.

Roxi is great with big dogs.. her best friend here is a big white husky.. Shaved Corgi..

Owen and I went to the park today. I think secretly he hoped to see his corgi friends again. I did to.. he let them clean him - smelly puppy with dirty ears.. nothing like an older dog to put a pup in his place with a good cleaning. Owen doesn't really smell that bad though.. I just thought it was hilarious to watch the three adult corgis go to town on him.

The Weekend Wrap-Up

Early Saturday morning Roscoe and I headed to Arbor Hills Nature Reserve for a walk. The nature reserve has several walking tracks, and creeks and such; the area makes for a great walk/bike, and you can bring your dog as well. Morning is pretty much the only tolerable time to get most outdoor activity done, the heat is making it more uncomfortable as summer goes along. Help with rude owners?

What do you do about dogs off leash at public parks? I take Lucy to our son's baseball games and many others bring their pets too - on leash. One family always lets their big dog off to run loose, hits it when it misbehaves, etc. This dog is scary to Lucy, won't leave her alone, and I would like to relax a bit and watch my son play in peace.
