I found a tumor on Madison yesterday. I'm taking her to the vet today but I'm all worried about how much its removal is going to cost and with whether or not it's cancerous. I just got this dog in January and I was so lucky to get her. It was pretty much my only chance at owning a Corgi and she's been such a good dog! Very easy to live with and she LOVES to work. I train her almost every day and she knows so much stuff. We were going to compete in dog sports!
Look what she can do:

She can do a bunch of other stuff too. And there was still TONS of stuff I wanted to teach her. So, obviously, I want her to live awhile!

Hopefully it's just a fatty tumor. Please keep us posted! She's such a sweetheart.
Thanks! And yeah she is really sweet. At the vet they can poke her, prod her, flip her on her back, etc. and she's always good! I bet they appreciate that she's not one of those dogs that try to bite their faces off lol
Madison's tumor will be getting cut off any time now. I took her to the vet and they said they could do it today. I paid and left her there. They said to call at 3 for a pickup time and that's in an hour.
One of the things I paid for was a biopsy. That's how we'll know if it's cancerous or not. If it is, I hope chemotherapy won't be crazy expensive.
Hoping it was just a plain tumor. WOW that was fast to do this so it mustn't have been deep??? I just realized how much Madison looks like Sage...sables are my favorite color!!!!!
Nope, it wasn't deep. It was attached to the underside of the skin.
She's home now but I won't have the biopsy results for a week.

Don't panic. Dogs often get lipomas, a kind of fatty tumor that's harmless. Terribly stressful having to wait for a biopsy result, though.
I'm hoping it is a lipoma and not a mast cell tumor. I had an Amstaff that died from the latter, so maybe it's made me a little paranoid.
She doesn't look to happy with the cone but it's good that she's home getting your attention! Sending healing thoughts your way and hoping the tests come back fine!!!!!!
