My heart is cracked in 18 million different places. My life has been upheaved. Bear (my Corgi) is safe at home asleep. His little sister Savannah (half pit bull, half boxer) has been stolen.

On Wednesday, November 12, 2009 my boyfriend whom I share a home with let the dogs outside like we do normally. They're fine by themselves. Until yesterday. Someone leaned down into the yard and scooped her up and took off with her. They left my other two dogs, but stole the baby of our family. Bear is a wreck. He'll be fine in his own time, but our hearts will never be the same without Savannah. She made our little family complete.

Savannah is only 5 months old and extremely loved. She is spoiled rotten. She's adorable and the best snuggler ever. I call her our puzzle piece. She makes our little family complete. Until we get married and have children, of course. I want her to be like Nana from Peter Pan. She has the biggest heart and more love to give than any other dog I've ever seen. Its not true what they say about pit bulls. They have the greatest capacity for love I've ever seen in a dog. Bear likes everyone. Savannah LOVES everyone. We are all going crazy without her. Bear is heartbroken. He sits in her crate and won't come out. But I am determined with every breath in my body to find her. She will be home soon, tormenting her big brother.

This is where you guys come in. I need advice. Anything. If you've lost a pet or even if you haven't and simply have a suggestion, please let us know. We would move heaven and earth to get our little girl back. This is what all we've done:
Every single lost dog website you can imagine, she's on.
Fliers all over town.
Filed a police report.
Craigslisted her as missing.
Called animal shelters.
Talked to neighbors.
Driven around so much we've wasted 2 tanks of gas in one day.
We're going to try and get on the news for the lost dog segment.
We're actually going to (I can't begin to tell you how weird this is, but she's found a lot of dogs) a dog psychic. Yeah. A dog psychic. She's located TONS of lost dogs. Seriously though... how do you file your taxes? Profession? Psychic dog whisperer. Weird. We're exploring all avenues. I don't care if someone has to read my palm or cut me with her tarot cards, I want my little girl back.
Put out ads in the newspapers.

I mean just about everything you can think of, we're busting our tushies. We've driven around calling her name, squeaking a toy... I know she was stolen. Someone has been stealing pit bulls and boxers from our area. Any advice you can give me would help.

I want my Banana back. Please help our little family.

I really hope you find her safe and sound!!
You know, I totally believe in psychic's if you can find a reputable one. I hope you can find her....
I am so sorry to hear about your beautiful little pup. I will be hoping the best for you, and please keep us updated on what happens! Everyone here has had such great suggestions--and I think if you check all over the place, follow absolutely any potential leads, and put the word out as best you can, you definitely have a chance of someone spotting her somewhere. I'm sure this has been so incredibly taxing and painful for you... I can't imagine how upset I would be if something like that happened to any of my animals. I will be thinking good thoughts for you and your pup, and I really hope she comes home soon in some way or another.

And a lot of psychics can be scams, but if the psychic you're contacting has helped bring home quite a few animals, I think it's certainly worth a try.
My thoughts and prayers are with you! Hope she is returned soon.
UPDATE:

To make a long complicated story short, we found her. The guy who stole her sold him to another guy cause his MOM wouldn't let him keep Savannah. Well thanks to an angel of a man who is busting his butt to help us find her, we connected the dots and found her at some trashy dirty disgusting home of a couple with two children, and 3 dogs. Mostly pit bulls chained up out back. Yeahhhhhh.... I actually went over there the previous night and he threatened me when I asked him about her. He told me, "You got a problem with this neighborhood?" I was like no, I'm looking for my little lost puppy and explained her and he said, "You need to get the hell out of here before you get hurt." I knew it was him... I knew my baby was close.

Anyways, the police were involved and they couldn't tell who she REALLY belonged to. Umm WHAT?!?!?!?! Quinn showed the police pictures from her as a baby, her in her litter, records, everything. The police even went to look at Savannah (who the wife was hiding inside because she would have BOLTED to Quinn) and they CONFIRMED beyond a doubt she was Savannah. They just said basically they couldn't give her to Quinn because they don't know who had her to begin with. We have a police report filed and everything, craigslist archives, emails from the people we got her from (confirming we adopted Savannah), and even this very article! Not to mention the millions of other lost dog websites I have her registered on. The guy who had her was also threatening to beat up my boyfriend. Saying to step up and settle this like a man. Quinn told him that a real man wouldn't keep a stolen puppy who was obviously loved and missed. The police were ignoring Quinn and telling him to get the fu** out of there.

We still have hope. For as trashy and potty mouthed as the people who refuse to give her back are, we might still get lucky. We can sue, and also, the officer who WAS helping us out (we and "good cop" live in one town and the bad people are right outside another) is going over tomorrow and speaking with them. He wants her back like we do. So we have hope. His jurisdiction ended TWO STREETS AWAY (omg that just stuck in my craw like you wouldn't believe). Even the people who have her were asking how much money we had so we could buy her back! They wanted an exorbitant amount, and Quinn accepted but they just ignored him. He kept offering and even upped the amount and they just ignored him. Trust me, they could use the money. And their story changed 3 separate times in front of the police. The police just didn't pay attention. They had other better things to do. I'm guessing donut withdraws. We filed a grievance with their supervisor who is a Colonel. He's extending our "good cop's" jurisdiction tomorrow so AHHH maybe we'll get her back!

Please keep all your good prayers and thoughts coming our way. They've helped us so far. We found her! And now we're just praying our good cop will get her back. That's all we ask.
Oh goodness, how awful that the police would not help you more! I will hold good thoughts that you get her back, and please don't give these folks any clue as to where you live. I'm so sorry you found yourself in this situation, through no fault of your own.

At least you know your little girl is alive and hopefully you'll get better news tomorrow.
I will be thinking positive thoughts for you and praying she gets returned to you! That is so sad.
Oh gosh, I'm so relieved you found her, and I'm certain you'll be able to get her back! You have all the evidence on your side, and I'm sure your good cop will help you get her back from those people who are keeping her. It sounds like a bad situation, but more than anything I'm just so glad that she's still alive and you know where she is and your chances of getting her back are very high! I've been wondering lately what happened with this, so I'm glad things are working out, even if it's a sticky situation. Please let us know what happens tomorrow--I'm thinking the best of thoughts for you and hoping it all works out easily!

Good luck!
We're keeping fingers, toes and paws crossed and saying prayers for a safe return of your precious little one!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sky, Lyla, and I are all sending lots of prayers and good thought your way. For your puppy's sake as much as yours, I hope everything gets worked at quickly and she is back at home where she belongs!!
Let us know what happens!! I'm so happy you've found her and hope you get her back soon.
Oh my goodness, I hope the good cop can help you very quickly!!! Im glad you have found her and know where she is, I will be sooooo excited to hear when you have her in your arms all to yourself again. :)
