My male is 29#'s and the perfect weight for his size. If he is bigger(heavier bone or larger than the standard size) 33 pounds might be ok but if he's getting too heavy it would be good to start cutting his food and adding green beans, pumpkin or sometimes carrots to the supplement the amount of food you take away (if you cut down his food by 1/3 add this in green beans).Does he get enough exercise?
Average male corgi should weigh between 25-30 lbs. I have an agility corgi so I work to keep him on the lower end of that scale. Less impact on joints and he moves faster around the course.
Just curious as to what you feed your dogs? My 6 year old male( 30.8lbs) needs to downsize a bit. He loves to run around things and through things. We are not in formal agility things but I have pop up tunnels that I set outside( or in the basement all winter) and he likes doing that. He recently tore his ACL and required surgery( yesterday). I know he will want to continue his running once he heals so I think he would benefit from losing some weight. He has been eating low fat Innova dry food moistend sligtly with canned California Natural). Approximately a cup per day.
I have a male who is thin at 34 or 35 pounds and would look skeletal at 30. However, around 28 to 30 is typical for a male. My female goes about 28 pounds.
