The True Blood TV show doesn't stick to the books at ALL but I kind of like it that way. I know what's really going to happen (books) and I'm surprised on TV! I've already read all of them, they're (I agree) not perfectly articulated but a fun read nonetheless. I absolutely love Eric -- massive man candy. Did you know that the guy Alexander Skarsgard who plays Eric actually played Meekus in Zoolander? Just slightly different roles. But have fun with the rest of the books, and be ready to be surprised!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the Corgi Book Club members.
Just finished the book, Edgar Sawtelle, and have such mixed feelings about the book. Have any of you read the book and what were your thoughts about it? I remembered a book that I loved, Sometimes a Great Notion, that I couldn't finish because I thought the ending would be too upsetting for me to stand. BTW, run and see the movie Brothers. Fabulous acting.

He's a character in the 2nd book. I haven't watched the 2nd season yet. So he is in it? Good, I really want to see how they portray him!

I really enjoyed Eric's character in the True Blood HBO series.....I have not read the books Yet, but I'm planning on it after the Holidays. I like almost all of the characters in that series...I mean you can almost understand why they do the things they do....almost. Is Godric a character in the books as well or just in the HBO series?

I saw the Road this weekend and it was very good. It followed the book and had only a coulpe things added such as scenes with the wife which I thought added t the story.

I am about to finish the 2nd Sookie Stackhouse book; I have about 15 pages left. I don't know why those books are so addicting. The writing isn't wonderful but the style makes it a quick, fun read. I really like the characters and every other page is some new drama which makes it impossible to put the book down.

I love the character Eric. In the True Blood show I was indifferent but in the book I really like him. I'll have to go buy book three. I don't think I'll read it right away though. I promised my husband I would read something else so he can read it when I'm done. :)

That's ok, we can certainly talk about our Corgis. Of course only people in this group will be able to respond. You'd get more responses by posting it in the discussion forum.

Whoopsie, Alice. I didn't mean to add this topic "Things we love about our Corgis" to your Corgi Book Club. I only wanted to hear other owners write about the things they love about Corgis in general, and their own Corgis. Obviously, I need practice navigating this site.

Ok so normally I dont go for the romantic novels, but I just got done with a series that was awesome! The author Linda Lael Miller wrote an awesome collection. (if you want to read a family based romance). They are all based around the McKettrick family.
