I read The Road. It was an excellent book, albeit bleak. I'm reading Edgar Sawtelle now and really enjoying it.

I read the book not too long ago, i thought it was good, I was glad to see Viggo Mortisen (i can't spell his name) in it. He is an excellent actor

I read Flowers for Algernon in school. I didn't cry but it was sad. I'm not one to cry in books or movies.

I really want to see the Blind Side!

I also want to see the Road. Has anyone read that book? The book is excellent.

Books usually are better with a few exceptions. I thought the movie "Terms of Endearment" was better than the book.

I saw the movie too. It was wonderful, the book will probably be better.

Has anyone read "The Blind Side?" Just saw the movie and loved it. Cried through a lot of it and wondered if the book is as good or better.

I didn't cry but it is an excellent book that everyone should read. I was surprised that I didn't have to read it for high school here in Alabama, only a small excerpt that didn't do it justice

Who else has read Flowers for Algernon and cried?

Buddy,

If you want something else that is fun and gritty you should check these out:

Felix Castor series by Mike Carey (the first book is called the Devil You Know)
Joe Pitt Casebooks series by Charlie Huston (first book is called Already Dead)

The first is about an exorcist and the second is about vampires. My husband loves these books!
