I'm so glad to find someone else who has read Shadow of the Wind! You'll have to read the Angel's Game when you get a chance. I have about a third of it left and it's so good.

I have not read the Story of Edgar Swtelle. I'll have to take a look at it.

Hi, I just joined Corgi Book Club. I'm not into vampires, but LOVED "The Shadow of the Wind". Have any of you dog lovers read "The Story of Edgar Sawtelle"? I'm not finished with it yet, but it is fascinating for anyone who understands dogs!

I always shop at Borders or Barnes & Noble. Borders has a wider selection so I prefer them but since my husband used to work for them and knows everyone at the two closest locations, it's impossible to go in without being detained for conversation for at least an hour. When I'm at the store I want to look at books not chit chat. I also like Borders because they have a free membership that earns you points which you can use for discounts. I like used bookstores but it's always a gamble whether or not you're going to find what you're looking for.

I'm a huge fan of Amazon. They have free shipping and are always so cheap! I also love buying used books from local stores. Here in Portland we have Powell's which is a city block and four floors filled with books. It's heaven! Comparable to the Strand back home in NY.

Just curious, do alot of you guys use your local library for your reads or do you go through Amazon, Barnes and Noble?? What is your favorite way to obtain all those great books!!
I just got an informal Book Club letter in the mail from my Aunt; you send 1 person a book and 6 others the actual letter. has anyone done this sort of thing??

going to the library today. need new books, think I will try to get the next Sookie Stackhouse book and maybe some Katie MacAlister vamp books. I have loved all of her other books I have read.

I just got the new Katie MacAlister Silver Dragon Book. I love her dragon series'. Definately recomend them for all to read. She has some vamp books tto but I haven't read them yet. Also got the 1st Sookie Stackhouse book to start the series.
