Great, I'll have to check them out.

Someone on another site recommended a book called the Name of the Wind (not to be confused with my favorite Shadow of the Wind) and my husband said someone recommended that to him too. I looked up reviews and it sounds like people either love it or hate it. Has anyone on here read it?

My son and daughter really like sci fi and they recommended them. I like a little bit of everything so decided to give them a try. They are actually written pretty well and very fast. If you want a fun story with a lot of mythology thrown in I would recommend.

Really? I thought about reading that but wasn't sure how good it would be for adults. Books like Harry Potter are well written and I really enjoy but I've read a couple young adult books where the writing was so simple it was not enjoyable. It seems like young adult novels have better stories though. :)

I have been reading the Percy Jackson series. It is fun light reading!

Wow, it's been so quiet in this group. Is no one reading anymore?

Anyone reading anything good right now or have anything they read that they'd like to recommend?

Lucy,
Here's a site I like to use to get book reviews.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5060378-the-girl-who-played-with...
I used to be a member on there but I spent so much time on this site that I neglected the other one. That's when i decided to delete my profile there and start the Corgi Book Club here. Much easier to do it all in one place plus you guys are more fun to talk to. :)

PS: I just double checked and it came out in paperback 3/24/10. If you read it you'll have to let us know how it is.

I thought I saw the second book in paperback just last week.

I loved Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It does start off slowly, but once you get in, it's hard to put down. I didn't want it to end. Has anyone read the second book? I'm waiting for it to be in paperback, although I seem to remember a review that said that the second books spends too much time summarizing the first. Any feedback on the sequel?

Cassie, I just bought the book so when I'm done with what I'm reading now I will give it a try. I looked up an original printing of Alice just out of curiosity and it was around $200,000! I'll stick with my $6 version though it would be awesome to have an original.

Luke, Yes I read that all three are movies but not all of them have been released in the US yet, just the first one. They were filmed in Sweden.
