So this past eighth was the third month mark of Ziggy living with us, (and the hubbs and I two year anniversary since we first decided on being a couple,) but it was also, of course, the day that Skittles passed away.
I didn't get to make Ziggy any spaghetti, like I have the past couple times. We didn't have all of the ingredients, and honestly, I was too much of a mess to deal with making the spaghetti if we did.
Today, I tried to make up for it, at least a bit, in a way and…

I just wanted to post a quick note to say that Brodie has made great progress this week with his separation anxiety issues. I checked into the Pet Naturals of Vermont comfort chews that Melissa was using on Kirby and found them at a local health food store.…

Luna must have pissed Twinkie off while they were left alone on Friday. When I got back to my mother’s house Luna’s face was covered in blood and had three distinct puncture marks. They were crated together at my mom's house and apparently when my mom's husband let the yorkie out, they saw her and got excited that they were gonna be let out to play with her. My…

Hi all! I was at Petco today and saw this product on the shelf, Thundershirt. I glanced at it, chuckled, then kept going. Then, while viewing training videos on youtube I saw a news story of it (so weird how that happens!) Claims to work on dogs with anxiety. I've seen several posts on here regarding corgi anxiety of various types and just thought I'd share in case anyone wanted to check it out!…

First, he doesn't "hate" dogs, he's just scared of them. He's never lived in a home with a dog.
He hasn't been to my house yet - obviously.
Even when I tell him stories of how Bear lies nose to nose with me in the morning when I'm waking up, to speed up the process so he can get food of course - he tells me that I need to not let my dogs near my face. And how it's dangerous and that they could really bite me and do some damage.
I have never…

My Charlie is a much different puppy than my Gracie was. I am so frustrated with him. I love him so much, but I seem to spend more time yelling No or being upset with him than loving him. He is constantly barking or biting. He has plenty of chew toys but doesn't want to use them. He is always biting me, mostly my hands, feet, arms. Tonight I heard something funny in the kitchen...walked in and found him chewing on my kitchen chair. I was so angry. He destroyed it. I can't afford this and I…

After seeing all of the past and recent dog food recalls I am considering making homemade food for Chase. I have been feeding Chase Blue Buffalo Freedom, which has not been recalled recently. However, I don't think I could feed Chase kibble with confidence anymore. I have not seen where and how this food is made and I honestly believe that no one cares about Chase's health more than I do, so why shouldn't I be directly responsible for feeding him CLEAN, HEALTHY food?
I have been doing a…

Poodeck has lost two cousins he has never gotten to meet. Tyler, a 15 year old Basenji and Chloe, a 9 year old French Mastiff. The families are devastated! I cry for them and try not to think that it could always strike even closer to home. Please send out Corgi hugs and kisses to my sisters and their families.

Today, Skiski, Ziggy's kitty cat brother, made his way over rainbow bridge with the help of some very nice vets.
The problems started showing themselves the day before yesterday, and we got him to the vet as soon as we could. After grabbing…

Edward had been limping on his left hind leg slightly after frapping one night with Gem out in our yard about 3weeks ago. He wasn't complaining about it but couldn't jump up on our bed anymore and had a toe point whenever he was at standstill eating. Thinking it would get better we were just taking it extremely easy with him, not walking as much etc. He still was chasing squirrels, birds and Gem etc. In fact hard to believe anything was wrong. Well, I took him in last Monday and after x-rays…

Gotta brag on Miles. He's 11 weeks and is being a normal pup - rambunctious, inquisitive, and clumsy. Yet, he's learning fast the rules of the household. His mouthing is almost gone. He silently 'asks' to go to the bathroom already by standing at the back door and glancing at us. I'm thinking of getting the doorbells for him. Knows 'sit, down, stay, watch me, paw' and goes potty on command. We're socializing the heck out of him now. My daughters are a great help with Miles. Husband is in…

12 MONTH OLD FEMALE CORGI AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION
Many thanks to all that have offered suggestions regarding the situation between my Corgi and my cat. Unfortunately, things have not improved. If anyone knows of someone in the South Florida area who would like to adopt a 12 month old female corgi, please contact me. I live in Delray Beach. I have had her since January. I do not have papers for her, but believe she is purebred. She is a very nice dog other than the cat situation, and…
