Here are pictures of Taffy and Huey that were taken earlier this week. I can't believe how much they have changed. We can't wait to get them home. May 7th isn't too far off.…

I finally got Stinky Wink's grave pretty much finished. I'll have to wait for the bricks to settle more, so I can level them, tighten them, and mortar between them. I am so pleased with the stone that Chris made and the Corgi statue I got from eBay. The irises will soon be blooming on three sides. I am going to plant dianthus to the north side of the grave…

Hey Guys!
Wanted to share the amazing story of how my corgi, Toby, was once kidnapped by my crazy landlord and her animal activist neighbor; I hired a private detective and was able to find him and get him back. 100% true. I recently wrote it up on my blog and thought I would share with other corgi lovers:…

Someone sent this around on that other, large social network site but I thought you all would enjoy it. You will have to get all the way to the end for the big pay off.

Okay, I know this isn't exactly an astonishing event but I thought I would make a blog post about it anyway.
I HAVE SUCCEEDED IN MAKING ACE INTERESTED ENOUGH IN A TOY TO PLAY WITH IT ON HIS OWN!
This is really groundbreaking for me, and especially for Ace. Ever since he entered my life, he has NOT played with toys. Sure, he would tug…

I'm carrying my 32 pound dog up and down the stairs in broad daylight in front of my whole apartment complex.
He is just sick! He isn't a princess! I promise!
Thanks everyone for your well wishes. He is improving and getting more and more difficult to contain.
In other news, someone left a tube of cinnamon rolls on the sidewalk and they exploded. There is icing and dough everywhere and it smells delicious.
I can't wait to get…

I have been wanting a dog since my boston terrier Butchie died almost five years ago. Initially I wanted to get another boston, but I knew that it would never be like Butchie was. After years of research and contemplating I have fallen in love with the corgi breed!
After deciding that the Pembroke Welsh Corgi is the dog for me, I have read many books and talked to several breeders from Oregon and Washington. I have spent months totally geeking out on corgi websites, like…

Took the night off from work so I could spend more time with Coco. She was so good today and went potty whenever I took her out instead of running around playing. We even spent part of the evening watching "Marley & Me." Such a cute movie :) I've been spending time training her to go in to her crate the past few days, and she is really getting it which makes me so happy and proud of her!!

Dear Murphy,
It’s been 8 days since you passed away, and I still can’t believe you are gone. I am having a hard time accepting the fact that you aren’t within reach. That you aren’t pointing your fuzzy butt at me. That you aren’t laying on the wood floor to cool off. That if I put down the laptop screen, you won’t be there smiling at me down by my feet. I miss you. I never thought I could miss someone so much.
I am so sorry that this happened to you. I wish I would have been…

Hi all,
I need a little help here. I've been giving my soon to be 9 weeks old puppy a lot of Wellness Wellbites (soft and chewy) treats during his obedience training. I'm a little concerned whether he's going to gain weight or not by keep doing this. He's already about 9 pounds and the last time I brought him to a vet, the vet said I should get him on diet and that's what I did. I just want to train my puppy and I just can't stop. Lol. Some suggestions would be welcomed and…

Saturday, I went for a hike with my roommate and Waffle. The trail was super easy--flat, just long (4.5 miles). We've done it soooo many times before! We ended up having to cross a small stream which required Waffle climb a 2.5 ft dirt wall. I think that was our mistake. He hauled himself up there using his upper body and everything seemed fine until we got home. He spent the rest of the night in his crate voluntarily. Sunday, thinking he was just tired, we went to our agility lesson.…

So how long does everyone usually wait for a response before giving up on a breeder?
I found a breeder on puppyfind (after sifting through all the suspicious ones...) who looks decent, and might prove to be good depending on how my tons of questions are answered... But it's been almost a week and a half and still no response. I've emailed, called and left a message, and messaged through puppyfind. Still nothing yet.
I suppose it's possible that they're really busy... But I'm…

Well, we FINALLY had nice weather, so we took advantage of it and went to the beach. Noodles loved playing in the sand and staying as far away from the crashing waves as possible. He humored us while we took pictures and here are the top favorites. It is days like this that remind me why I love the Pacific Northwest. Enjoy!…

I have heard that corgis are pretty darn clever - and some are even accomplished escape artists.
As far as escape artists go, Dixie managed to escape her metal crate today. I came home and found my little darling lying calmly on the couch, her antenna ears perked up as though she had been waiting patiently for me. I assumed my fiance came home, let her out, and forgot to re-crate her - but when I did a search of our home to see if she'd done anything naughty, I noticed her…

Normally, I don't really note holidays, it's just not my thing.
But today is special:) Today it is officially two months that Ziggy has been living with us. Tonight, he gets peanut butter smothered apple for a treat;D
Would give him a small plate of spaghetti again (oh how he loved that last month) but we forgot to grab the sauce packets when we went shopping, darn nabbit! I'll make up for it when we get to the store next, though I do feel bad about not having it…

He got to play a long game of fetch afterwards. XD
