I've been looking for a Corgi bead for my bracelet, and hadn't found any I liked until I stumbled upon NanjoDogz.…

Ok so help, advice, and positive stories of fearful dogs who got better are greatly appreciated!!! Week 2 with Truck has been good and bad. First off, HE IS SOOOOOOOOO FEARFUL!! He is still very timid and anxious.
Issue 1: Fear of cars. If anybody can help me fix this, or relate stories of their dogs that improved that'd be great. Truck is terrified of cars, to the point where if I open my door and he is off leash he will run away and not come when I call him. He did this the other…

I have a four year old female tri and a 1 year old male tri. Their relationship has never been what I would call friendly. Zoe, my female has always shown a lack of interest in Kolby from day one. Well, it has gone past that now, and although they have never gotten into a fight, the situation has to change. Unfortunately, I am going to have to find a good home for Kolby. Although I spent a large amount of money to purchase Kolby from a breeder, I am not looking for any money, just a good…

I am selling them, but in order to be eligible to buy one, you must first make a $5 donation to CorgiAid and show proof!
I know selling stuff is discouraged on this site, but there is a donation aspect as well. If this is not okay, let me know! I will take it down. They are handmade with love by a highly opinionated internet hermit. They are also GUARANTEED to contain real corgi fur!*…

I just realized I haven't updated here since the 15th! Oy! It's been a very busy week and weekend. My schedule was totally off last week, thanks to jury duty (dismissed, YAY!!!!) but I was worried about what I would have done with Poppy if I had to sit on a case. Thankfully that is a non-issue this year and Poppy didn't even notice, except for the fact that last Tuesday was a verrrry long day.
There is a really nice daycare place about 15 minute drive away that does $20 Tuesdays, so I…

Sorry for the silence around the holidays! My husband and I have been very preoccupied with work, work and more work. However, that hasn't stopped me from doing a large amount of progress with Ace's training!
He has become such an amazing gentleman; it's truly remarkable how fast he learns. Because I have opted out of joining the weekly "obedience" classes in my city (truth is, they use the Old School methods of fear and leash-pulling, which I abhor), I have made it my…

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
So the New Year begins.
The Eve was a sad day. Lily passed away in her sleep overnight. Mum had been sleeping on the floor with her the past few nights and early in the morning she asked Daddy to check her because, even…

Hey guys. Ein is about 14 weeks old now, and it's like the older he gets the more his eyes water. I know a lot of things could contribute to this, but the poor kid!!
It doesn't seem to bother him, but it is already leaving tear marks down from the inner corners. His nose isn't runny, just his eyes. His eyes aren't pink or anything. In fact, they are relatively perfect. He's got kinda long black eyelashes, maybe those are falling out into his eyes? I just…

We don't get a lot of snow in my part of Arizona but I do see a lot of snow pictures from friends and family elsewhere. One of the almost universal problems is with the snow in the pictures and the over all scene looking blue or perhaps dirty gray. That's caused by the camera trying to figure out the lighting of the bright snow and the "white balance" of the scene. If you're feeling brave you can Google "white balance" for a complete explanation.
Essentially one of the things the…

Not my corgi haha! But my friend asked me to help him find his corgi a new home because his current living situation isn't ideal for a corgi. Specifically, his parents aren't letting him keep him. His corgi's name is Chopba. He's 8 months old, he has some sable coloring on his back, current on shots and unneutered. He is energetic, sassy and extremely cute in person. I would keep him for myself but unfortunately I live in a small apartment complex and my own corgi is already a handful. If…

We have had Russell, our 11 week old corgi, since he was 7 weeks old. He has always been a little shy about being picked up or approached but he seems to be getting even more shy. We have to lure him with treats to get him to come near us and he backs away or runs and hides if we make a motion towards him. He likes to play, will bring us toys to throw or play tug, and seems confident when playing but can quickly become skittish. Has any had a similar experience with their…

I decided to write my Truck updates as a blog post instead of a discussion, I think its more appropriate here. Anyway, today marks week 1 with Truck. So far things have gone great. Yesterday was a day that could have been a disaster but actually turned out pretty well. As I have said before, Truck has separation anxiety. I noticed silver lines on his teeth and asked my vet about them and she said it was from chewing the bars of a cage or fence, so despite the owners insistence he is great in…

I don't know what I'd do without Boo Bear! He captured yet another rogue toilet paper roll from trying to escape....
Why don't those toilet paper rolls learn that they are never ever going to out run the Boo Bear!
Hubby cleaned up the mess of the shredded toilet paper and cardboard... then looked at Boo Bear, and he was sitting there so proud...chest out and almost a smile on his face.... What a character.

So our septic field failed and we had a new field put in this week. The upshot is 3/4 of our back yard is now dirt, but no septic problems anymore. Copper and Simon had a blast investigating the holes and mounds of dirt, navigating their way through now unfamiliar territory. Corgis are so funny!…
