Gandalf

Even though it's only been 2 months since he became ill, it seems so long ago that this particular journey began. Everything is still going well for our 'old man', Gandalf. We chose the chemo option for his cardiac tumor. A treatment every 3 weeks which he has tolerated so well. No side effects or complications. Before his third session last week they discovered that the tumor has shrunk dramatically. So much that it was difficult for them to… Continue

Bad News

I noticed Sky limping this morning and then stop walking on his leg at all. I took him in to the clinic because he was in obvious pain. The news was not good. The Dr strongly suspects it's his cruciate ligament and will need surgery. $1500-200!! Idk how I'm going to make that one come together without going into some major debt. Today is not a good day...

Corgi carrier

One of many papers I read online is the fabulous Daily Mail out of England. Here is a story on the Crufts Dog Show 2010 and some of the posh carriers the furry ones are brought in on (pic of corgi too!)

Hello All

Well this Evening we took Ace with us up to the VA. With the permission of the other three Vetrens in the same ward as my father's permission i brought Ace in.

And to my delight he brightened those poor fellows mood and Brought their spirits up. he greeted them all with a wagging Bum and a happy kiss and just wanted to cuddle them. It even made my Dad smile to see Ace there. I was even asked to bring him back tomorrow if i could. So starting next week after dad is home and settled…

Spring Break is Done

So, Spring break is all finished and I visited with Waffle for a lot of it. My boyfriend came to visit and he saw Waffle, too. Waffle was initially afraid of my bf's hat, but got over it real fast. The other puppies were completely fine with the hat, though... until I tried to put it on them. Lol! I saw Nessie being a huge brat... if I was touching something, she wanted it. Once she got it, she didn't care. I just wasn't allowed to have it. Waffle is all healed up and glad to be out of ICU.… Continue

Pedigree DentaStix

Is anyone using these for tartar control? Dylan really like them, I used Greenies for a long time but have read some bad things about them lately.

Mmmmm...ice cream

We don't give our dogs people food other than the occasional raw veggie, a small bit of hot dog during training, or perhaps something that got dropped on the floor and got snarfed up before we could blink. A special treat we do allow is to for the dogs to lick a newly emptied ice cream (or frozen yogurt) container. Debbie finished the last of some frozen yogurt tonight and gave Gromit his first taste of forbidden pleasure.…

FOUND-Thiago-LI Lost Red Male Corgi

A Mail Carrier called me and said one of her customers had him. In the same town. They found him walking slowly down a main roadTODAY. He was wearing a Flea collar in addition to his own collar, which we didnt put on him. He has been gone since 1/23/10! It seems he got…

Story of Daisy Part 2

So on February 13th, Daisy comes home to enjoy her new life with her new brother and sisters. Then, on Saturday, 2-20, when it was time to get breakfast ready, she didn't want to eat and didn't want to hang out with the Pupsters. Sunday morning, 2-21, I got her ready and took her to the Vet. They said she was running a high temperature. I told them to do whatever it takes to get her better. She was there for 3 days and she was on all kinds of antibiotics and her…

I think I am starting to panic!

I have been looking high and low for a breeder! Found one, puppies are here and I am weeks away from having my new little guy at home! I am so excited, but starting to process all the things that come with a puppy!!!! It's been so long since I had a puppy I think I have forgotten what it was like. I remember coming home to Riley chewing holes straight out of the wall, having his tummy pumped!!!!!! Once breaking him of that, holes in the carpet! Waking up to my little guy drooling all over my…

So much energy!

It has been a while since I have made a blog post about our little bundle of energy, Buddy. He is about 17 weeks old now and he has proven to be rather difficult the past couple weeks. We were originally advised by our trainer to keep him on a leash at all times, due to potty accidents and to keep him under our control. Since he has gotten a little bit older we have given him a little more freedom and allowing him to be off leash around the house. He is doing fantastic with the potty…

Inactivity after spay

Penny was spayed on Wednesday and did very well. They tell you no running, jumping, playing for 7-10 days after and I'm concerned because in order for me to do that with Penny I'd have to glue her to the floor! I have tried to keep her off the couch but she sneaks when I'm not looking...and I bought a stair to help her off the bed...which she ignored and just jumped off the normal way! How did your corgi's do after their surgery...any advice on how strict I should be with the activity…

First night away from mommy!

Well, the time has finally come where I've had to travel for work without Sir Pupenstein. Instead of introducing him to boarding just yet, I am fortunate enough to have a coworker that I would trust with my life... and now with my pup.

She has a Japanese Chin - so cute - of her own. I hope they are getting along!

I am picking him up later tonight, so he'll only be away for two days and one night. I want him to get used to this, because unfortunately, I'll be taking several… Continue
