Today I leave Eddy.

In a few hours, I'll drop Eddy off with my sister while my boyfriend and I visit Alaska for a week. Yay, vacation and family. Sob, separation and corgi.

Newly neutered, stapled twice and recovering

It's been a while since the last update on Trice. Well, he's been to a couple dog parks, one in Fullerton and the other in Los Alamitos. Out of the two, we favored Los Alamitos. Mainly because the grassy area was huge, clean and expansive. I think it's also noteworthy to point out that both large and small dogs were combined. I noticed Trice plays well with the small dogs (sniffing, following, etc) but when a large dog comes around he bares his teeth and barks. He's always been pretty… Continue

Vest Harness

Hello everyone!

I am very excited because I just purchased a VestHarness 3 in 1. You can use it for walking, car restraint and chest protection. I only bought this about 2 hours ago and have taken Lance on two short walks already!

Lance didnt give me any problems about putting on the harness, like he knew he was going to go for a walk once it was on, even though I didnt even mention the walk to him! I walked towards him with it and he walked towards me,… Continue

Winnie the...Poop!

Winnie had a little fun yesterday at the dog park. Unfortunately for her, it culminated in a bath!

Successful Spay

I dropped Hannah off at the vet this morning to be spayed. She was happy (aside from not getting breakfast), but I left sad. I tried to keep myself busy all day while waiting to go back to pick her up. I expected her to be groggy, but that wasn't the case at all. She wiggled her little butt when she saw me and the boy and gave us kisses. She was yawning a lot on the car ride home but still wanted to look out the window and check things out. She took a looooong pee when we got home and waltzed… Continue

Woodcutter ant

Today as I was getting ready, I heard Eddy freaking out in the other room. He had tried to eat a huge black woodcutter ant, and it had attached itself to his lip, and seemed to be nipping him over and over!!! Eddy was like, "YIP! YIP! YIP! YIP! YIP!" He was sneezing, shaking his head, rolling all over the place, etc. I yanked it off, and it made a nasty *crick* sound (?). GROSS. I hope he learned a lesson about not munching on whatever he finds laying around.

There aren't any issues… Continue

Busy and hectic but never too busy for Milo

So, mommy and daddy are both very busy and tired these days from house shopping to big planning. But, we're never too busy for Milo. The weather is gettig warmer so we intend to play more Frisbees with Milo, go for more walks, and enjoy the outdoors more. Even with this house hunting, we're thinking of getting a bigger home with a nice sized backyard just for Milo. Why? So he can enjoy Frisbees and frolicks outside more.

Winter in NY is definitely long and harsh. But Milo is a hearty… Continue

"What a Cute Yorkie!"

Well apparently, Shippo has been a yorkie all this time and never told me! I was walking him this afternoon and somebody's little dog (what looked to be some kind of malti-poo thing) got loose and ran across the street because he saw Shippo. I knelt down and let him sniff me while his owner ran across the street to get him (didn't grab him because I didn't wanna scare him).

When the guy got across the street, he went "Wow, what a cute yorkie!" I laughed and said "Oh, this guy's a… Continue

1st birthday!

Tucker is 1 year old today! These past two months with him have been great. We can tell that he trusts us and feels comfortable in his new home. Corgi's definitely have big personalities! He is always doing something to make us laugh. His favorite activities thus far are running full speed, snuggling, and eating.

We celebrated his big day with a long trip to the dog park. He came home tired, very dirty, and so happy. He really loves it there. He has no fear - plays with dogs of all… Continue

Broken Family

I won't get into the personal details, but my girlfriend and I have decided to amicably end our relationship. We both love our little corgi, Dash, which we've had together for almost 2 years now and neither of us are willing to give him up completely. After a lot of talking things out we've decided to give joint custody a try... nothing formal that is, but Dash will be spending alternating weeks with each of us. Luckily we live in a city like NYC where the logistics aren't too hairy. Tomorrow… Continue

new babies

My Panda Bear had a litter of beautiful puppies, all healthy. They are half corgi, half ugly boyfriend. Yes, I turned my back for a few minutes, and the deed was done. The puppies are all going to wonderful homes, where I will get to see them. There is a plan for in-line breeding and we are hoping for a littler of pure corgi's in the spring of next year. wish us luck!

Bertie Wooster Is 5 Today!

Boy does time fly. Seems like just yesterday, I went down to south Jersey and drove him home to Manhattan. Seems like just a minute ago I was pushing him around the Upper West Side on a pile of blankets in my little wheelie grocery cart. Gosh, that first day, I brought him home, carried him from the parking lot on 60th St to my apartment on 71st St, introduced him to the doormen, brought him into my apartment, and watched him sniffing around, thinking, geeze, now what do I do??? And now, my… Continue

Feeding your dog a natural diet.

A couple weeks ago Kaley Corgi's Mom from www.sansanpups.com asked me to write a post on the raw diet, which I feed Winnie. Now that finals are over I was able to write one up today.

I posted a copy of the post on my blog. Check it out here!

Leash training going well

Two decent length walks today. Can't wait 'till he's strong enough to go on hikes.
Also, got his 2nd set of shots today as he reached the 12-week mark, weighing in at 9.0 lbs.

Lots of fun!

So, the boy and I took Hannah to Bark in the Park today. There were soooo many dogs there! We got lots of free goodies and met lots of nice people. I'd say we found around 15 other Corgis, and I loved them all! Several Pems and a few Cardigans (which I thought were absolutely beautiful with their busy tails!). We got to make our way through an agility course, which went pretty smooth considering she had never done anything like that before. Put our paw print on a canvas and got one for… Continue
