My husband wants to know why I keep crying over my sweet Angel Kazi. He said he was JUST an animal. Well Kazi was my Furbaby ! I miss him MORE than anything . Tomorrow morning it will be 3 weeks since he went to the Rainbow Bridge. My husband " said all you do is cry,cry cry..wa wa wa" ! It is bad enough that I miss Kazi so much but now the comment has hurt me even more :( Can it get any harder ?

We had his "exam" today at 3 p.m. and I was delighted that Madoc passed the ten elements. It may have been "by a whisker"-- we need to keep working on heeling and turns. My kids thought our concern about the test was hilarious-- could he rescue a drowning child in a lake? Alert firefighters to a burning building? Vote in the next election? Nevertheless, we are proud of our furbaby!

Ok, I don't mean to be picky or obsess on this, but Jack is 12 weeks old and his ears still have not come up!!! Not even a little bit!! I don't want to tape his ears up, should I worry that they are not coming up? I never had this come up with my previous Corgis???

Ah, I will reserve the worst of my comments for my own private monologue inside my head.
Some people give dogs a bad name.
We frequently see someone with her rude adolescent Doberman, who is loose (with a metal choke chain!) in the park. I have watched him get ruder as he got older; not the dog's fault as he seems to have no boundaries. It's a shame as the dog is positively stunning and actually has the makings of a very polite boy, if he were…

Hey all your corgi lovers out there. Did you know that your dog fur can help clean up the oil spill in the gulf. Just read the link above in the daily FRAP post and find out how. If every one on MYCORGI could go to their groomer and/or hairdresser and encourage them to send their hair and fur clipping to the clean-up effort it could make a huge impact. The website is
WWW.MATTEROFTRUST.COM. Directions for donation are there and they make it very easy to…

Well we have had Bentley home for 9 days now. He just got done with his forst bath & he did WONDERFUL!!!!! (He couldnt have a bath right away from being neutuered 10 days ago). He got a bath in his special medicated shampoo that costs more than my shampoo(but he is worth ever penny of it). He is doing great taking his meds, takes them like a champ. Still working on the potty training thing but I know it takes time especially since he is 8 yrs old. He doesnt like the crate but it has to be…

I haven't been on here lately..not that I don't want to but just so much is going on.
Kiara's pups are all in their new homes and doing fabulous. What a great litter. They were such a joy and been getting updated pictures from the new owners and can not believe how they've grown already. It goes fast when they aren't in your care and seeing them every day.
I redid my website..completely new design that took my husband and I sometime to do since we had to get familiar with…

P&G has signed a deal to
buy out Natura, the company that makes Evo, Innova, Healthwise, and Karma. This is disappointing to me as Natura was one of about half a dozen pet food companies left that I trusted. I have successfully switched my dogs to a raw diet, but I still supplement with Evo from time to time, and like having that option available. Not to mention my kitty will only eat dry and canned food, and Innova…

My, my! How time flies! Baby Jackson is a little over 6 months now and it's about time for his neuter surgery.
He's been the best (barking) dog a gal could ask for and he really is my little companion. Everyone in our neighborhood fawns over him and he's doing great with people and other doggies at our local park.
It's been a while since we've been to the vet, but I'd say Jackson is around 20 lbs now. All I know is he…

I was informed by my breeder that my pup is happy, healthy, and ready to go! It killed me to have to tell her I wasn't going to be able to pick him up until May 15th. This is the last week of school and I'm moving back home over the summer so the next week and a half includes five tests and packing up and moving my apartment into storage. I decided that it wouldn't be the best environment to bring my baby into but I have my last final friday morning, the 14th, and as soon as I'm done I'm…

Our Lucky is in need of a cart, or wheels. Has anyone had experience with a dog on a cart? I know it is more humane than having him drag his hind end around, but I worry that once he is mobile again he will run over the cat and the other corgi in his exuberance! He used to be our herder and ball player, and I would love to give him back that ability if that is possible. We live in the country, so he has been quite isolated lately. Any information would be helpful, all the vets say is that he…

I'm so proud of my baby boy...he received his official Therapy Dog packet today! I couldn't wait to try his vest on him. He liked wearing it and seemed a little put out when I went to take it off of him.
After 6 weeks of class, 10 supervised visits with my daughter, then 10 supervised visits with me, he's been approved! WooT!
Besides the vest (it's a little big on him, but I think the next size down would be too snug…

Diggory is sleeping up against me as I type this... he's such a sweet little thing. I rescued him from the shelter on Saturday after Ginny and I had finished the Furry Scurry with the corgi team (our team raised over $1500 for the local shelter - woohoo!).
I've been thinking about getting a second the last few weeks and I knew I wanted a) a male corgi or corgi mix, b) a younger dog, but not…

I'm a very bad blogger! I didn't realize I haven't posted in so long. Wow! So much has happened since the last time I posted. Late October, let's see, in mid-November I sustained 3 pinched nerves and had to stop all training. Heck I had to stop everything! I spent most of the time the weekend before Thanksgiving and the weekend after Thanksgiving going to the doctor and the ER to get pain meds until they'd actually DO something! I had one pinched nerve in my neck and 2 in my upper back. I had…

Sunday was Paisley's birthday! I can not believe she is a whole year old. It feels like just yesterday she was a tiny little bear bounding around our apartment. She is a very special little girl. We found her the week I graduated from college, and moved in with my husband in our little apartment. We got her the week my husband started his first real job. She lost all her baby canines the weekend my husband and I got married. She started her adult food the week we bought our house. She took her…
