Jordan and Teagen came to the joint decision today, probaly somewhere in the hallway, that Mom doesn't respond properly to cute wooki noises as a wake up call anymore. So their little corgi brains came up with the idea of a full frontal attack. But unknown to them I was awake and saw them coming even though I didn't respond in time so still had to suffer pain. They both came slinking in through the door very quiet with ears laid back, put their paws over the edge of the bed and peeked(I closed…

Pepper has been afraid of inatimate objects as long as
I can remember. Not terrified, but skittish. For example if I pick up a kleenex box and show it too him he runs. He is also apprehensive about coming in the back door like he thinks we are going to slam it on him! We got him from a wonderful family who bread their own female. I cannot imagine this dog had ANY trauma in his puppy life with them. The family's son actually wanted to keep him and was sad… Continue

Well it looks like this week is done and I can't concentrate on work.. (sometimes working from home is a negative). It's too snowy and beautiful outside. We're right in the thick of it.. just outside of DC where they showed all the red bars.. tomorrow we'll have about 40+ inches on the ground with both storms added.
The. Dogs. Love. It. Since Sat morning we've gone out every morning and romped around.. and then they would sleep all afternoon while I tried to concentrate on work…

My fiance is allergic to my lovable corgi, Simon. He's having bad asthma attacks when he comes over. I feel so bad because I'm not Simon's first home. I took him from a lady at work who was going through a divorce a year ago. Simon (whose name at the time was Clyde) was separated from his sister Bonnie.
I'm heartbroken that he might be leaving my home soon. My cocker spaniel Sophie is going to miss him as well. He really does love being outdoors, and I live in the city. I've…

Okay, ya'll, my stress level is through the roof right now! The pup came down with Giardia on Friday morning, and while he seems to be "better" as far as stool consitency and energy levels, he absolutely refuses to eat or drink anything! I have tried feeding him just about everything safe for dogs in my house and nada. And you can forget drinking any water, the only way that is happening is when I use a syringe to squirt it down his throat. I am frustrated and tired and don't…

Oh I feel a little sad today. Today was Tulip's last puppy food meal... And in just a month she'll be a year old!! How did that happen?! It seemed like only yesterday she was a little hand full of fluff. Now she's just a big handful.. LOL. I can't remember what it was like before her, she has brought such joy to our family. And Peanut, our 5 year old Corgi, adores her. I just wish they would stay puppies forever.

Eddy got accidentally mauled by a big lab at the park and has been limping since it happened. There is no grave injury I'm sure, the leg is completely mobile and he's been running and playing and everything. We've been leaving him out of the crate when we're not here, well, trying it again. Nothing bad has happened yet...

Even though the snow can be a nuisance for our daily lives, it does make things look like a wonderland. Atleast the Corgis think so and have renewed bounds of energy!
They were all excited to get out in that white, not so fluffy this time, snow and FRAP their bunny butts off. With their fur misted with ice particles and icicles hanging from whiskers, all you could see through the dust of snow… Continue

I'm sorry it's not Corgi-related, but I need help! :S The more advice, the better, right?
Our 5ish-year-old female calico cat, whom we adopted from a shelter almost 4 years ago, is very spiteful. You may say cats don't understand spite, but you are wrong. She's very clever. She likes to pee on my stuff (blankets, couches, shirts left on the floor, etc) when she's angry. We've tolerated it because she was a shelter cat and didn't want to send her back. I've always had the…

Miso and I had a wonderful time at the Adult Day Care recreation room at the Maluhia Hospital. Mrs. Shigeta is holding one of her favorite dogs. Miso sits on her lap for a good 40-45 minutes.
Miso doesn't mind a big hug from Mrs. Shigeta.…

Well, we went to visit a new home for Rosie today and she's staying! Rosie will be the only house dog...unless we think Rainy would be happy there too! That's another day! Rosie, Bella (mom) and I went and after spending about 3 hours there Rosie felt very comfortable, in fact so comfortable that she hauled her bone into the bedroom and back out again several times. Rosie will have a cat to play with and two very nice outside dogs as friends also. She already met and played with them! The nice…
