Bear, Goldy and I have begun clicker training. Today was day 1...and thank goodness for smart Corgis!
The downside of having two dogs by yourself - you're supposed to separate them when you train them. Even though both of my dogs are crate trained and go into their crate happily everyday when I say "crate," when I crate one to work with the other - the barking is INSANE.
SO, we're making it our own and doing it together, and so far so good. When one sits, I click and… Continue
I just signed Lyla up for her herding instinct test! It is Sunday afternoon. I'm so excited! She is such a shy, timid dog a lot of the time, so I'm hoping she enjoys herding and maybe it can be a good confidence booster for her. Wish us luck!
I also finally got around to doing her AKC registration paperwork today since her reg number was required for the test. It's been sitting in my purse for almost 7 months now! Oops! I just haven't had a need for it until now. =)

Well, Bear is really in Tulsa Ok. right now but I was cleaning up some photographs last night and thought that this one would make a really good Where's Bear! So, I fix the red eye cropped it slightly and renamed it so the name would not give it away. Here is a clue: someone is going to look at this photograph and say "I know where Bear is! He is stuck in traffic in in one location and will (some day soon LOL) be in another place by way of the ______… Continue
In which a forecasted "coating to an inch" of snow turns into a five-inch storm, the Corgis meet a new friend, and my husband edits together a short one-minute video of the fun....
We never saw this dog before, but she was only 6 months old and was instantly a playmate.
My favorite spot is about 35 seconds in. And all the "good-boying" and "good-girling" in the middle is because they responded to my emergency recall in mid-play! Hence my not… Continue

I know its been awhile since our last post so I figured I better update and tell you all what's been going on with our little boy. For months now, he had been very itchy and would scratch and bite constantly and it recently got worse. It became so bad that we couldn't even sleep at night because he'd be scratching and moving the bed so much, we'd put him on the floor and could hear him constantly and he'd still keep us up, so we ended up having to put him out in the hall in his cage until… Continue
I am loving this...If I didn't have my Bails, I would go to this :-), and I have to say it is true. Last year I did not have Bailey yet, and I was freaking out about finals...now I am quite relaxed, a bit anxious but nothing… Continue
Wynstan got his second round of shots today, and boy is he grumpy about it. He will halfheartedly play with a toy, grunt, then move off to lay down.
I can't believe its only been a week since he has been with me, so far only three accidents. He has been getting better about turning people into giant chew toys and I have already began to train him, It seems like he is already started to recognize his name and will sometimes come running when I call for him.
Just wondering if anyone out there has tried out the dog breed genetic tests. Samwise is settling in, and as he was a pound puppy, I'd like to see how "pure corgi" he is. He looks all Corgi. By the way much thanks to Cesar M. in helping me integrate him into my house full of male Corgis.

I live in Jackson, MS and we barely ever get ANY snow and when we do it's just a little bit. But tonight it's snowing wonderfully! We've got an inch or two already out there and it's still early on in the night so I'm hoping we'll get alot more before morning so we can play a lot tomorrow! I went ahead and took my son, Ian, out to play and Yumi tagged along as well. This is Ian's second snow, but I don't think he remembers the first one and this is Yumi's very first snow, so both of them were… Continue
I didn't realize how long it has been since I was on last! So much has happened, both good and bad. Thankfully, more good than bad.
My cat Seymour who was over 20 years old just died last week (peacefully) and I think Foxie is having some trouble with his absense. I catch her looking for him in his usual hiding places, she doesn't like it when people leave the house (like maybe we won't come back) and she is very "clingy" when we are home. As a matter of fact, I think she knows I'm… Continue
This semester was tough. Spending time with Chloe was a pinch because I have to work her around my school/study schedule. It was a pain, but my family have been taking good care of her. I apologize for the delay on the pictures. I'll upload more next week. She's grown up from the pictures on the album i just posted. She's so smart, but she keeps eating everything up. Anyway, I have to go back to studying. I'll update next week! Later.
She is finally here! Sydney is absolutely adorable. We were up late last night burning off some of that energy she had from being cooped up all day on her way here.
Last night when I fed her she barely ate, but this morning was a bit better. She really seemed to take to her toys right away, which is fabulous.
I am working on her going out in the yard since there are a lot of animals out near me and she has managed to find… Continue
Most puppy buyers use the Web to look for puppies. There’s nothing wrong with that, as long as you realize that bad breeders are not sticking to the penny saver or ads on the supermarket wall anymore. They know where their buyers are and they know how to pull them in. It’s up to you as a buyer to do your research, but I know it can be very confusing because bad breeders will claim all the same things that good ones do. Here are some things that help me tell the difference.
