Ok so Milo has been steadily improving, and we're now past the halfway mark to six months!
However, we're having a pretty serious and escalating problem. He has been very aggressive with Jess lately. It's strange to me, since she cares for him more than anyone else. She takes him for more walks, plays with him more, trains him more, feeds him more... you get the idea. But in the last week or so, his behavior towards her is almost constantly aggressive. Hackles up, biting hard enough…

yep, now mom trusts me to stay in the house while they're gone. no more kennel :) it's great! i can roam the living room, kitchen and dining room. though they have all the doors to their bedrooms closed, i still have the majority of the house to myself. i can even look out the patio windows and check out the action in the complex. mom puppy proofed the homestead so i don't get into any trouble while they're away. they make sure to walk me before they leave and put out my toys so i can still…

WARNING: As a dog lover, you will probably
never read anything that will make you cry more than this piece does. If you aren't in a place where you can weep openly, DO NOT read this.
This came to me through a dog newsletter I get a couple days ago, and I think
every breeder should make each potential new family read this before they adopt a dog. Any uninformed person considering breeding puppies 'for extra cash', or who don't spay or neuter their pets...anyone who might…

On the Subject of Feets.
When I was a puppy my feets seemed to be pretty cute on my little legs, looking sort of like cotton balls with toenails. Everyone thought they were just precious, expecially when I putted them out behind me – Mom calls that the Otter. I wonders what an otter is? Perhaps it’s what Mom means when she says “Skeezix, you otter not lift your leg on the bird cage.” Yes, that’s about my leg, but legs are what my feets are at the bottoms of.
My feets…

Lucy and I are trying to raise money for our Relay for Life event. We are walking for my mom who has been battling colorectal cancer for 4 years. Ever since we got Lucy last spring she has been the light of my mom's life. We have set a high goal for ourselves because the American Cancer Society does so much for people with education and research. If you have a few bucks to spare please consider donating them to our team and help us spread the word.…

It' Just a Dog
From time to time people tell me, "Lighten up, it's just a dog," or, "That's a lot of money for just a dog." They don't understand the distance traveled, the time spent or the costs involved for "just a dog."
Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a dog."
Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a dog," but I did not once feel slighted.
Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a dog," and,…

=( =( =(
its been 2.5 hours since I last saw her.
I gave her the other half of the Benadryl. She still acts fine. I have a big test tomorrow I have to study for.
My friend says I worry too much and that dogs have lived for 100s of years without people. [sigh]
UPDATE: Its about 4 hours later and she looks back to normal…

I have all these blog posts I want to write, about her fish pillow, and how I sprayed the yard for fleas/ants and had to take her to my mom's house, but now I have to write about this.
Pooka woke up this morning with a swollen eye, and I felt around and her cheek was swollen too. I checked her teeth for an infection and saw nothing. I gave her half a benadryl, she was fine, she ate all her food, and I asked my husband to stay home with her. He…

We knew this was going to happen, but not sure exactly when ...
Last night Zwei lost (what I think is his) first baby tooth!
Daddy accidentally extracted it while he was trying to hold Zwei's mouth open for medicine time. He freaked out!! Though Zwei was kind of like "huhhhh" since I don't think he realized that he lost a tooth...

I can't remember exactly when Momo started doing this, he's been a quiet dog and rarely barks but I think it was about when he was 5 months old he started to probably grow up a bit and barks at sounds that are strange to him, and when there's sounds of strangers going back home( we live in a apartment).
Now, I'm not surprised that he's barking, but the weird thing is that after he barks, he will go and find me or my husband and would jump up and want pats on his head or try to nip us…

I was given the URL to
a wonderful portfolio - 'Balsa & her puppies' (including a couple of cute human kids). It tempts one to fall into the Cute Overload dialect.

So I was reading about how antler chews are a good alternative to meaty bones on the forum, or somewhere, and was just like, hmm, sounds good to me. My dad is a hunter and has been all my life. Most of my friends dad's are hunters. So when I bring this up to them, they're just like "huh, makes sense, I'll give one to my dog".
Cuz the truth of the matter is, there is no shortage of antlers where I come from. White-tail hunting is very common…

It is with great happiness that we announce that Trixie has an adopted "big brother". Last week, we adopted Corrie, a red and white pembroke who was needing a home due to divorce. We honestly did not know if Trixie would welcome this friendly fellow into our house and accept him. After a rough 48 hours, they started to become friends and enjoyed play fighting and hours of chasing, sounds of clenching teeth and water everywhere! They are still a little weird on the food issue, but are doing so…

You know, I really shouldn't do this but having Freya makes me really want to get her a girlie collar. It's been such a hard shop. It's starting into the epic mp3 shopping I started 3 years ago that just ended last Christmas! I'm really looking for the "perfect" collar for her. I want a purple collar but one that compliments her coat at the same time looks girlie. Unfortunately, none of my local vendors supply such a things so I am forced to turn to the internet.
I also need to get…

Dear Reader
To start off with the question that's been on my mind ever since Mom and I returned from our daily walk around a nearby picturesque lake: Isn't it rather impertinent to stop, point directly at me, and ask me what kind of dog I am??? Do I routinely stop hoomans on the street and inquire as to what kind of hooman they are? Or ask Mom sotto voce "What kind of hooman IS that?" I think not!
My mom has raised me to be the kind of corgi who doesn't say such things in…

I am such a worried mother!!! He is a tough little man so I know he will do awesome, let's just hope I don't make a fool out of myself and leave crying hahaha. At least I won't have to leave him over night. The instructions the vet gave me said no food after midnight and no water the morning of the surgery, but when our cat was neutered the vet said no water after midnight also... Anyone have advice? I have to work 7pm - 3am tonight, do you think it will be ok to leave the water out until I get…

Pascal had a vet appointment yesterday to see if the S/D food was working for dissolving crystals. Well it worked and he's crystal free for the time being, so our vet gave us the go ahead to schedule a surgery date to be neutered. He'll be going in later tonight and staying at the clinic and then have surgery in the morning. :)
I'm just glad he's finally been well enough to finally get this done now. He'll be happier in the end. I'm feeling kind of anxious about him thinking I'm…
