I haven't updated this thing in so long!
Dexter is neutered!!! Yes, finally, right? We took him to the spay/neuter clinic (due to their convenient hours) and heard that they did a great job from multiple people who had brought their dogs there or spays and neuters.
They said he did well during the procedure but that he had runny poops afterward. I can't imagine how, we followed the pre-surgery orders. :( My BF went to pick him up and said his backside was covered in dried…

Where shall I start. Last weekend was very busy but exciting. Kiara had her litter exactly on Valentines Day. 7 puppies...3 boys and 4 girls and all are doing well so far. There future owners are very excited and the next couple of months are agony for them in anticipation to pick them up. Kiara is doing well..we did have a bit of a scare when her temp. increased rapidly but we have that under control right now. We will be watching… Continue

Whew! This puppy raising sure has been a journey for both of us. I am happy to say that Jackson has been a real pleasure and such a good pup. We've made it to our 16 week mark!
And wow! You guys were right about growth spurts. After weighing in at 6.2 lbs at 12 weeks, Jackson is now 10.5 lbs at 16 weeks! I am so happy to see that he is growing on his own after all of my previous worry.
Today my amazing little pup got three…

They're so pretty with the black. So much better than just a plain ol red and white. So when Mom took me to the dog park where it was all nice and mushy and muddy, I wanted to see what I would look like as a tri. I think I look pretty spiffy. I don't think Mom thought so. She just laughed and shook her head when she saw me and gave me a bath when we got home. Oh, how I hate baths! I so wish Mom would have let me stay a tri!…

I will walk across my livingroom and he will grab my pant leg and try to pull me the other direction. I can't seem to get it through his head that he isn't allowed to do this. I have very sternly told him no, popped him on the nose (not too hard) and I have simply tried ignoring it. Nothing is working. I take him for regular walks and he isn't in his kennel except for at night while we are sleeping. He has lots of toys and chew sticks. We play with him on the livingroom floor while we are…

The kiddies and I have moved back to Tulare.
If anyone is local and wants to start having play-dates, let me know.
I could also use recommedations for mobile groomers.

My dog Tanner, who I've had since September, turns the big 3 today! *sniffle* They grow up so fast! He enjoyed his special birthday treat, and already started destroying his orka present that I gave him this morning. He's also sporting his St. Patrick's Day collar, so he's looking good on his birthday!
Edited to add: I also bought 32 used tennis balls off of ebay and rolled all 32 out in the middle of our living room for the dogs to play with! What a birthday present. They…

We took Murphy to the vet on Friday because the medicine he had been taking wasn't really working like it had been before and we noticed some red dots on his belly. They come and go though so we didn't know what was making them appear. The vet said that it must be something in the environment and the weather here in PA is very unpredictable so that wouldn't surprise me. Murphy has also started to drop his coat so I'm hoping his instincts are right and maybe spring will come sooner rather than…
