I know, I'm probably a biased 'mommy' cause I love him so much.
Simon has gone to two puppy classes so far, and I see MAJOR improvement. He's learned how to play without going nutso crazy wild (he LOVES toys) -- he has to sit nice for 10 seconds before he gets his toy, and he has mastered it 100%! I *think* he knows 'sit' too -- he usually sits when I tell him sit, so I'm pretty sure he's grasping it.
He does VERY well with pottying outside, and on Monday he even 'told' me…

Since we took Oscar home on Monday night he has been taking 6mls of Potassium Bromide liquid a night before bed. The first night he came home they warned us that he may be sleepy for a next 5 or so days. His dosage will drop down to 1.5 mls after 4 days. He was rather energetic on Monday night. He was very happy to be home; almost as happy as we were to have him. He has had two days so far on the heavy dose of the medication and it seems today that it is taking his tole on the little guy. He…

This weekend was a traumatic one for my little family. On Saturday night Oscar had a seizure. It last about 2 and a half minutes but it felt like an eternity. It was around 10pm at night but we rushed him to the nearest emergency vet clinic. As Oscar was looking and acting back to normal right after the seizure we were told to just watch him and that it may be just a one time thing. We took him home and he slept through the night without incident. We woke up around 8am and started our normal…

Ever hear the expression "a watched corgi never whelps?" Starting to feel like that around here. Poor Wynter is waddling around as big as a barn with a really pitiful look on her face...we're on day 60 and I feel sure there will be babies within the next 48 hours! Can't wait to see them. I will be posting pictures as soon as they arrive. Knowing her, she will probably start this whole process at about midnight--she has a great sense of comic timing! lol!

Poor Henry has an ear infection. It started a few weeks ago when we first took him to the vet. When we got him from the breeder his ears were really dirty and he had a yeast infection. The vet had us use a flush which we did once a day until his next visit just a couple days ago. Now he said there's some bacteria growing so he gave us Baytril Otic to put in his ears every other day to the flush. But now Henry is whining and scratching at his ears, which he didn't do before the Baytril. Is he…

Dyllan will be six months old on Wednesday! It is hard to believe! He is 22 pounds now but doesnt look fat. How much are corgis supposed to weigh when they are grown? He still loves bossing our german sheppherd Kori around she is already six months and 60 pounds.I saw her brother at the vet it was so neat he looks exactly like her we are going to get them together to play.Dyllan gets to play with his brother Koby Jack all the time they are so much fun!!

So the rest of the week went smashingly! No accidents or boredom incidents... though I did spy on Dash via webcam and found that he did whine a bit during the day. I also discovered that he howls! It made me feel really bad that he was so bored, but still managed to behave himself pretty well. So... I went ahead and ordered a doggy door inset for my sliding door to my small bedroom balcony. Excited to see how it turns out. :)
So Friday Dash came to work with me as usual. He ended up…

I wish I could figure out how to get a picture of Addie from my phone to this site! I HATE computers...maybe when my daughter visits next month.
Anyway...Addie (Adelaide) is a year and a half, 18 pounds of little low-rider, AKC, and in heat! She is the sweetest little thing though not without that invincible Corgi "tude". Anyone know of a potential mate that lives near Alamogordo, New Mexico? I'm on summer vacation from teaching at the School for the Blind, so I can possibly travel. She is…

Don't you think Master Shifu from Kung Fu Panda looks more like a corgi than a red panda? My boyfriend and I think so, but maybe that's just coming from a corgi household.. hmm.

*Sigh* So Shippo decided to get the zoomies in the back yard here after it rained... well the people I'm staying with right now don't take care of their back yard, so all the grass has died and it's just a bunch of dirt and weeds... So, here is what happens as a result of midnight zoomies after a rainstorm:
Ugh, I can't wait to move out of this mud pit and into a place with a nice, sodded yard where Shippo can zoom without me having to clean…

HI everyone,
This post was made on our San Diego Corgi meetup board:
Unfortunately, we need to find a new home for Oliver. He is almost five years old, we have had him since he was 12 weeks. He is a beautiful tri-color with a spirited "Corgi" attitude. He is current with all vaccinations and licensing. We just had a vet check him out this weekend, and he was give a clean bill of health. Please contact us for more info.
It sounds like the family has a new baby and…

If you've been
following me on Twitter, you already know I had an eventful week. Here's
the beginning incase you missed it.
Emmett came to me at only 19 lbs, I had a difficult time getting him to eat last week, I've tried broth / chicken / peanut butter / fries / wet food / dry food ...etc. He did not want any of it. He was lethargic, hid…

This week I was out walking my dog in the field a bit away from home and decided to go onto the street at the back just to give him a change of scenery. When walking I choose to go to the left when posed with a fork then heard some barking. There was an older lady in her front yard digging maple saplings who saw Loki and was excited to see a corgi puppy. She then told me she had a Cardigan in the back yard, and we decided to let them play together. He had a lot of fun. This is also the first…

We have been waiting for her to come home, our Mommy misses her so much. She never came home one night last week. Our Mommy went to animal control to find out that Daisy was picked deceased on the street on wednesday. We are going to miss herding her around the yard, she loved to roll over and wrestle with us too. She let us lick her behind and chew on her head every once and a while too. She was a beautiful brown tabby kitty who loved her corgis.. We…

This past week has been soo frustrating and confusing. Eddy's been acting like a terrible little tot.
1.) He's been hardcore teething. Trying to gnaw and shred things he previously had no interest in, like paper and his leash.
2.) He's been barking!!!! Aaaugh, annoying. Just looks at us and goes, "YARP!"
3.) He's been puking. He threw up twice 2 days ago, and once this morning. But he doesn't act woozy or lethargic or anything, and his appetite for food and water is fine,…

I am worried. Tod's been throwing up and having projectile diarrhea since morning. We did not change anything in his diet, nor routine. The only new thing: last night we gave him one Milk-Bone Dog Biscuit for the first time. Can that be it?
He's resting now in his crate...looking very tired and weak:(
Should we just let this thing run its course or do can we do something to help him?…
